Also, he was saying that the Gearing was taking AP fullpens tru his but, when the Stalinggrad was actually shooting HE, and a DD would take overpen damage from battleship caliber AP in any case!😅 Also, there was the Marceau, who has bigger guns than the Gearing, and a reloadbooster!🤦 Never change Jingles, never change!😊

@@robertmeehan3072 ww2 homing torpedos were acoustic homing, and homed in on the sound of a warships propeller and engines. Thus they were only effective from behind a ship and were often beaten by noisemakers towed behind ships. Having this limitation would make subs much more balanced IMO

This bothers me, at some point good game became a taunt winners supposedly give to losers, it never has meant what you seem to think it means. If you’re reading it as git gud you’re reading it wrong, if you’re using it as anything other than a respectful expression of sportsmanship you’re using it wrong. GG.

It's just that the enemy team at the end of the game say "that it, we win, the game is done "Good Game" all" but only to get steal the win at the very last second, and the win going to the other team, that all, it's funny. don't see wrongdoing everywhere

@@FolgoreCZ I long stopped believing that pos 3-5 is an indication of some-one's usefulness on a team. Anyone living long enough to reek the advantage of 'win harder' or out of position reds can do enough damage to reach that level of XP while not having any contribution to winning a game. The GK had two spotters, and a good secondairy defence to keep the Marcau out, so his lurking around a bit longer could have made a great deal. The Marcau would have been under pressure keep out of GK's 2ndary range whenever he would be spotted by the sub or BelowAveragePotato. I don't know if him smacking one or two citadels in a Mino was worth the bleeding they took in center, while they could have been putting the pressure on the enemy instead.

@@thurindot7384 Nope, not the torps, there were no torps around at the time he took the hit that took him from 32k to 16k. Those are likely other Gearing's torpedoes beyond the Mino. Backing up a ways, Mino was at full health at 9:41 before going dark. 9:51 you see Gearing torps pass through right to left as the Mino reappears down 47k->23k health, Mino repairs to 33k and then eats GK AP taking him down 33k to 16k.

Jingles: "Below Average Potato...I do like that name, at least he's honest." Below Average Potato: *gets the winning kill, earning a Kraken in the process* Me: "Well, I guess I should just go ahead and uninstall if that's a below-average potato...because I'm clearly a rotten potato. 😥"

I think the real reason the gk was running for it was he was being torp locked by the sub. Nothing like a big German battleship to spam ping. He knows the torps are coming and there's nothing he can do about it.

Thats true, so you have to rely on a DD (always and again) to try to fix the situation. WG - how can we fuck up a good game design? We introduce CV and DD, both too OP. and we give ships radar that goes through mountains, that should do the trick!

Jingles, the G.Kurfurst played very well. He did the only thing possible when facing a Submarine & DD, and that is running away! He managed to live while his DD & Cruiser suicided. But he cannot fight a Submarine, as that will get him killed VERY fast. And he had no support as the BelowAverage wasn't that close. So he lured the enemy to the his friendly DD & Sub, and he DID turn when the sub died ;)

Kinda agree, i feel like Jingles has not personally been enjoying the insane gameplay subs have made. Basicly it is not too uncommon to see Zao type solution when you see 4 subs ingame, just rush forward with autopilot and try next round. Or the GK solution, if you see sub coming after you, you run towards corner and hope he gets bored. Its wows, random team randomly helps you and even if they do tier10 sub at that point of the game so long diving time left he can just stay undetected, no matter how many dds help.

@@Antivihrea Yeah, I felt the GK did the only thing possible. There is no counter against a good sub player, so only thing you can do is just run to border, and hope the sub makes a mistake. Currently only subs can fight subs. So other classes can only run and prey their sub helps..

@@johnb4689 I did after I made that comment... In a G.Kurfurst...hit them with both my guns and depth charges... I got the kill and a good portion of the damage, and they wasn't surfaced when I hit them with the main batteries either

What no mention of hte Kraken? Don't think the GK did too badly - he smashed up the Mino, withdrew as best he could from the western flank and did a reasonable job of trying to keep himself alive.

@@vampirecount3880 the guy was chased by a sub, I think. And farmed by a french DD - although we don't know the range of the Marceau. Although could have turned around a bit earlier, after the sub was removed. But we did not see the healthbar - I certainly did not pay attention to it - and do not know what consumables remained at the player's disposal.

The Zao’s chief weapon is surprise

Potato gets hit by a Stalingrad HE salvo at 11:15 that sets him on fire. Jingles explains that these AP shells didn't overpenetrate because they went through the length of the ship. And just as he says "right down the length of the ship", the Stalingrad lands another HE salvo. Ah Jingles, never change :D

I loved the tactical analysis you gave at the start of the video going over the map features and caps. Do this every time for us please!

Ah, I'd been wondering why we hadn't seen many USN destroyer replays for a while. Not having played the game in years, I hadn't realized Gearings were at such a disadvantage.

Jingles you may not be mighty when it comes to Elite Dangerous but when it comes to history & World of Warships you are very mighty

After listening to Flambass and everyone else say Mine Oh Tore, it's simply lovely to hear proper English and you say Minotaur! Marcau doesn't have reload boost, just 3 second reload.

@@1mol831 The problem is how little you can do against a CV as an enemy team. Then subs take that issue and multiply is by seventeen. DD's, their supposed "hard counter" are probably the most vulnerable to sub torpedoes.

You know you play a lot of WoWS; when you try to click drag your mouse, during a Jingles KZread video, to check your surroundings. lol!

Marceau with a reload booster lol. That would probably be the most broken thing in the game. Marceaus are usually equipped with Fearless brawler, and the 6th slot reload module which gives you 352381 HE DPM when spotted. It was at 7132 h when spotted at 15:17 it has lost 72% of its health. If you factor in the AR boost, its HE DPM is 374236 If you added a french reload booster to THAT you'd get an absolutely INSANE 561354 HE DPM!

I served in the danish army as the gunner on a 155mm selfpowered howitzer (m109a3). I never had to clear a stuck shell or change ammo but i know what it entails. How did navy crews aboard battleships deal with the 14+ inches main armament?

In my effort to help Jingles to stop mangling the hell out of ship names, the Balao is pronounced, Ba-LAY-o. Looking forward to the new ways he'll mangling it while knowing this information. :D Seriously though, you'd think Jingles has never watched Down Periscope before. The shame. lol
