@PigPissBeUponThem I didn't even realize SLM was in the Battle until I actually saw him like 5 minutes in lol, I know that people are just going to call bull but I turned off the stream just so I could focus playing against him, even then, the only major contact my Wisconsin and his RH had was when he sank me from across that map

LOL, if I was a millionaire I would just create a whole new WoWs and WT competitor game. Though I see the point in why people might get angry for their price, they're not cheap indeed, fortunately I can give myself the little luxury of buying the things I want every now and then, even when thhey don't make financial sense. You see, I don't play for the meta or anything like that, I just play for the fun and I do like wonky ships with weird mechanics and ships with historical relevance, so both are on my radar for a while now. Though unfortunately I don't have a way to play and as much as I want anymore, so I often miss shipyard ships and steel ships, I don't think buying 2 not so cheap ships for a game I enjoy will make me a literal devil for not buying shoes for people instead. I don't want to sound rude, but I think that's the internet, hahahahaha. As for Maine and Bourgone, I need to try those later, always see good things about those ships and Bourgone is one I see often when playing, so it might be quite good indeed.

With my RI, I find the range game and using speed as well as stealth is the best way to go. Trying to do much of anything else, you will just get eaten alive. It functions well as a heavy cruiser and playing support for the beefier BBs.

it would be nice to have a battlecrusier line on the American tech tree in-game.

regarding the modules, you could have said that you went with the recommended setup, marked by those yellow triangles.

Rhode Island is a beautiful state! Awesome coastline, fun beach parties, great folks! Hopefully the ship is like her namesake, "Though she be but little she is fierce"

The AP does have improved pen angles though! 6:40

American Burgogne seems fun. Definitely would pick it up if it was coal or steel.

My dad is an old retired sailor and he loves the drab navy gray on ships. lol

Looks kind of fun, but I'm not going to spend cash for 14" guns and low hit points at tier x. Enjoyed the review.

Fun fact: the Quad 356/50 caliber guns were developed for the North Carolina class battleships, but were never built.

because SLM is not a very smart player, hes always has very questionable takes and choices in these reviews. he has a 30% WR in the ship over 20 games, smallish sample size sure but still. Dont take his opinions or choices seriously

Rhode Island is out in the armory! 49.9k doubloons though ($200 USD). I just cannot do that for the ship, was hoping they would have a ship only option like they normally do. This time it is bundle only! Side note: they show their 49.9k doubloons as a discounted price from 62.2k doubloons, but that is not actually a payable price at any point. They are using full value of the bundle items to get that value. Bundles suck unless you truly wanted everything in them. Sad they do not have a ship only option.

Update: While only available in a bundle in the Armory, the Premium Shop had Rhode Island as ship only. For me this saves $55, but I have to buy in real funds and cannot use in game doubloons I have saved up.

Reminds me of my T8 Hawke. I have to play it like a heavy cruiser, because it's made of tin foil 😔.

I much prefer the Ohio over the Rhode Island. Ohio has the Montana hull, 18-inch guns with good turret rotation time and reload time, and can have a main gun build, or a secondary gun build.

too bad they hide the cheaper bundle with Rhode Island in shop on web and in game theres only the expensive one

I am an experienced player, so this is a veteran perspective. However, Rhodes Island is one of the best battleships in the game, I don't know why but she fits into your hands and you just play the game without major sweat. Despite having issues with 25-mm stern I was on top of the scoreboard. I can compare her with Tirpitz.

Rhode Island is just like a Tirpitz, only is a T10 not a T8, has different guns, more guns, is much faster, has worse armor, more AA, and no torpedoes. But other than that, the two ships are very similar!

It gets you to the daily crates quicker and considering how long he's been playing, he probably has a boatload of blues and even probably some reds to use for actual grinds.

I used to think that too, but then realized Ship XP is the base value that is carried into both Free XP and Elite Captain XP. So if you increase the base value (ship XP) and run boosters on the others + Premium Ship baked in boosts, you get a ton of Captain and Free XP. I only run boosters on premiums now. Accelerated elite captain progress exponentially.

@@xPureNRG007x Putting a booster into ship XP does NOT boost the other XP types as the system currently is and has been for awhile now. It used to when economic bonuses were tied to camouflages and flags, but they moved to the current system specifically to de link those bonuses for better and worse. The only reasons to use ship XP boosters on premium ships are to reach your daily crates faster, to reach potential dockyard / combat mission ship XP requirements faster or you're desperate for Free XP and willing to pay the hideously bad conversion rate of 25:1 'elite' ship XP to FXP.

Great review, but that ship, in my opinion, is not worth the minimum $150 USD to get her, and especially not the 50k dubs. If it were a normal TX price, sure. Wargaming is getting very greedy.

It's the Pommern with radar and no torps.

Not really. Pommern has more HP, thicker armor, larger guns, is a proper brawler, and is T9. Rhode Island is faster, has a quicker heal, better concealment, and a quicker reload. Oh, there's also the radar/hydro differences.

Sea Lord, how can I contact WOW. I have an idea for a modification of their program that would allow newer players to compete on a more fair-to-their level than they now have to deal with when they are in higher level tiers. This idea will not benefit you ultra high level operators as it would eliminate your thrill to kill lesser players who have hammered their way to a level 10 ship before their time. WOW should love it as they could allow an avenue for newer players to play at level 9, 10 and S(spending their $s along the way), without being killed by you older players who greatly outweigh their abilities sporting multiple Captains at skill level 21. Okay, so that may not sound so good to you high end dudes, but it would give you upper level players a chance to see new talent develop to destroy them at some point. My guess is that all of you upper level players know each other. What would happen if you didn't know each other? The game could become better for even you, the high end players. And my idea is very very simple. This idea could recreate a new interest in WOW. How do I send an idea to WOW?

I give the Rhode Island a 0 out of 10 because it costs more to buy than two entire AAA video games combined.
