More the skill floor is high. It takes a good bit of effort to be "decent" in the Atlanta. With a lot of skill the ship can also do very well, but it's not like a Myoko where you can just Yolo and have 60k average damage and a 60% winrating.

Yeah, for a great game, you rely much on your team or at least your division mates. Div up with someone with good smoke and you will have a good time :)

Hmm, I actually like playing in Tier 9 with the Atlanta, it seems to do great then. Enemy DD's tend to underestimate the Atlanta and get too close :) And the BB's are doing the whole "bow in slow reverse" thing. And that is great when your playing an Atlanta (slow moving huge BB is easy to hit). I play solo, don't have div mates :( But with Ranked it was very funny as there are only 7 enemy's instead of 12 targeting you :p

This video definitely gave me cancer. Amazing, and I had a grin on my face the whole time, but I'm blaming you for all the damn Atlantas I have to fight now.

Videos like this showcase why I love playing my Atlanta and why my mood sours if I'm not in mine and I load into a match against one. I can't even get pissed off, either, when I blunder into one hurling HE cancer at me over and island and there's nothing I can do about it. The saving grace is that ship has wet paper for armor and gets balanced awfully hard the second anyone starts hitting you with effective fire.

at least atlanta has disadvantages of low range, slow ass shells and basically being dead without an island. And now look at worcester at t10 😂. Its like an atlanta on steroids

Id say Scharnhorst is one of the best ships to not get HE spammed cuz it has a dank rudder and a pretty below average turning circle of 700 meters allowing you to zigzag effectively like a cruiser.

Not if RNG favours you :) No srsly i dunno why but RNG is so kind to me. Ive tried twice where a CV torp strikes me (im in the french Normandie i believe its happen in other BB's but dont remember perfectly) and even tho torps hit the bow altough not on the tip but on the place that many low tier BB's and all german BB's have the thick extended armor piece. No floods ayy. Ive been spammed by a des moine for 30 seconds with no fires in a Bismarck before... Man :)

win rate of Atlanta is 49,57% on EU server ..... so to get nice cash and stats on this ship you need to be skilled player ..... be able to read map and what enemy do...... because you are 1 good AP salvo kill

I'll admit I'm still struggling to find a meta for Blyskawica now that it's gone...especially with loads of Fiji's about, it can be hard to find the right moment to open up with the Blyskawica, and the rather abysmal detection for a DD certainly doesn't help

Blysk itself feels weird. Its a gunboat *or* a torpedoboat. You can spec your captain for either one however, its a waste to become a torpedoboat because of its great guns. Just try to find a balanced playstyle of mid-range gunboat. It doesn't excel in knife-fights like USN DDs, but it can hold its own in mid-long range like a Soviet DD. However, the Blysk in my video did *everything* wrong. He rushed south on the map North with wild abandon to an Atlanta and paid the price for it. There is some seriously incorrect gameplay going on when a DD is closer than 6km to an Atlanta. If an Atlanta's is hunting you, then the 8.4 km radar is a powerful tool to force DDs away.

Yeah, I see an Atlanta or even Fiji when I'm in a destroyer, I instantly run to the other side of the map if I can...it's a fight you are *guaranteed* to lose...

Those who dislikes are probably victims of Atlanta's incessant HE fires and AP Citadel hits. That Atlanta is mighty. Nice gameplay. Hope you have gameplay on teaching me on the US cruiser Cleveland. Thanks.

Just take the base skills; Preventative Maintenance, Adrenaline Rush, BFT/AFT and you're all set. Take Demo Expert for more fires, or else swap for IFHE for more damage and trigger farm. Priority Target, Manual AA, Concealment Expert, and Superintendent are all valid skills depending on preference.

Thanks. I'd been thinking of a build you currently have. PM/AR/BFT/AFT/IFHE/CE. That would be great against battleships up to tier 7, but tier 8s have 32mm armour that IFHE won't get through, and the fire chance would be left at 2%. Since you already run that build, I'm wonder how you find it against higher tier battleships.

You saw me pummeling the North Carolinas and Iowas in the videos. I have no problem penning them because I'm deliberately aiming where I can pen them: the superstructure/deck. I have one pet peeve though: Izumo. It's turrets take up so much of the ship that it becomes shell shatter galore. Its even more annoying that you can't pen the deck, but only its phallic superstructure and stupidly wiggly aft.

A lot of people forget how useful the AP on the atlanta is, only because it's useful in negative brawling range, and if you're in that kind of range, something might be wrong. However...I can't tell you the amount of times I've run an Atlanta into brawling distance and gotten a few surprised looks when I melt cruisers in a few moments :)
