I was playing in a division with some clan mates a few weeks ago, and as soon as the match started, someone on the enemy team put a $1,000.00 doubloon bounty on us. He even was trying to get our team to do teamkill. We all had a laugh about it. The guy died in the beginning of the match. We still laugh about it.

@@ibnu9969 to be sure, yeah tho I don't remember having been in that situation with the old cvs. and it's not like cvs are hard to fix. I have many ideas that could help the playerbase -bring back the cooldown for squadrons when they return the the cv to eliminate spam from the same type of planes -detonations. think of the cooldown after returning to the cv as refueling the planes. historically, this is when cvs were most vulnerable, so allow fires from enemy shots to destroy large amounts of planes. this will encourage players to protect their carriers more. -bring a good way of moving the cv independently. the autopilot is garbage -between the aircraft restoration of the rework and the lose planes = spectator of the old system, there should be a way to find the middleground between them. buff the hangar space while nerfing the restoration time. -bring back buffing aa range and mid-range flak. -be able to reposition fighters like in the old system. once you plop a fighter down, it stays in that range. I still laugh when cvs try to counter me at the beginning of fights by placing fighters right on me because I'll just speed up and leave their range before they arrive and then avoid them until they leave. if you can move the fighters around, that can make them more useful and encourage strategy.

Well yeah, if you find something toxic, you should be complaining. The best way to see it would be... Let's say a destroyer on the other side torpedoes his friendly on purpose. That guy's team should be complaining, but so should the opposing team because they are against the toxic behavior regardless of if they benefit from it or not. It's why people report afks or toxic stuff, NO ONE wants that in the game as a whole.

Nothing wrong with this at all. In fact it is historically accurate for CV's to focus other CV's. Halsey would be proud of you. I have not a single shred of empathy for CV's that die before the game ends regardless of which team they are on. They should be focused because they are the most powerful ship in the game, makes complete sense. GG Sea Lord.

As a CV player the only thing I seriously disagreed with Montbattens actions was at 7:37 in the Video I would have gone to help sink the Montana ( already under fire ) even faster, as Montbatten was already right there, then return to killing the FDR. Throw the game... B.S. Be a tad too focused on the FDR, yes, not the best CV gameplay, but actually reasonable gameplay. To report a player for actually actively playing the game and attacking enemies, spotting, sinking a ship and assisting the sinking of other ships. Sore Looser much?

I would have to disagree. In this scenario because Sealord isn’t a very good cv player (his words lol) and because the FDR is a god tier cv. Had both CVs played normally, the FDR would have had a larger influence on the game than the MVR. The FDR had 14m of gameplay before dying that he could have spent influencing the game but was baited and chased Sealord back. Had he not spent time chasing down Sealord, and helped his team. They most likely would have won. I am okay with cvs in the game, but cmon the FDR is like King Kong petting a chihuahua lol

A carrier should always go after his counterpart first, as that would be the most immediate threat.

People are kinda dumb. and Honestly as a CV main back when I still played a lot, it was kinda fun for a change of pace. Like you have to count on your team to be good enough to hold without your active support, but it works

I like how people complain about 'throwing the game' despite both cvs going after one another most of this match. Which means if the team loses or not is virtually entirely dependent on the rest of the teams skills in the other ships and really has nothing to do with the CV. Also the enemy team only complained because they were about to lose their CV, never have I ever heared an enemy team in WoWs complain about how someone in the other team threw the match for them or cared for the other team if that happened lol.

Yes and no. Yes in that during the time the CVs are fighting each other they are not attacking anyone else, but the flight paths they choose to take towards each other are still spotting other ships that DEFINITELY affects the fight between all the direct fire ships as is any Fighter AA cover dropped en route which in turn affect flight paths and therefore spotting. Also, as with Monbattens game, with only 1 CV each, when one of the CVs wins, the team that lost its CV is now semi-blinded. I have been in matches where I am the ONLY CV left on the field, and in terms of number of ships my team is loosing, but then has a chance to catch up because they know where the enemy is and can hit them far better than Battleships alone can respond. They also can selectively move to get most of my team on just a portion of the opponent team due to the information advantage.

How were you throwing the game? A dead FDR is such a massive gain for your team!

I legit saw a Reddit post yesterday complaining about Mountbatten CV sniping, saying he was deliberately throwing the game by doing it. Bombarded my inbox saying he'd been banned and telling me how wrong I was for saying that CV sniping isn't a deliberate throw... Edit: even stranger is that yesterday (the same day he posted) he had a comment on another post saying that 30% WR in a ship (Grozovoi) with 45% overall WR is common, yet when Mountbatten had a similar situation (but with a better overall winrate) it becomes a huge problem?

Actually provoking an opponent CV but not really trying to kill it is a GOOD strategy. At T8 the best anti-plane ship in the game is another CV ( especially if your in a German CV ). So you provoke the opponent CV, when they get close with their planes you launch your most useless plane types and drop AA cover. There are no other easy targets of opportunity besides you without wasting more time so they have to attack you under a barrage of fire OR loiter and wait. So you stagger your AA fighter drops a bit, then they have to Loiter SOME MORE. If they send planes way out to get you again, rinse and repeat. Either you cost your opponent CV lots of planes or lots of time.

I am a CV main but this gives me joy.

Nah, just add a special stat for CVs: Air defense -> negates damage from plane borne ammunition With a special consumable that either negates ship launched torpedo damage or ship launched grenade damage. We need to find out how to deal with rams...

You just played historical accurate, attacking enemy CV because they are the strongest ships in the enemy fleet. My favorite match with CV was when I got 5 report because I didn't spot two Hallands and a Kléber all over the match, they called me "damage horny" because when I run out of rocket planes I went out with torpedo planes to damage an island camping ship.

As an average DD main, one of the things I hate most is people who report you for not letting them remote play your ship when they have already died. I always try to have some kind of a plan, and I usually play to help my team win, this isn't always successful but it's what I try to achieve.

I got reported for torpedoing a Monarch with Yukikaze. Guy raged in chat. Naturally after seeing that outburst I say "What is this dudes stats" and go to find out he only has a little over 300 games with 40% W/R. It's funny being reported for doing your job.

@@KaguyasBeat Yes the reporting system is kind of broken when you can report people on the other team for killing you. I often end up killing DD's on the other team and they rage in chat about haxx as they were never spotted. Pre-emptive torps to the most likely capping points works more often than you'd think it would. =D

To be honest Sealord if you were in my team that round I would have commended you to the moon. MvR ist very strong but FDR is just simply in a different sphere of broken, so any time an FDR dies earlier than the rest of his teammates, it’s a Good Match already. So well done to you for changing the outcome of the Match by distracting and killing the strongest ship in the game.

@@honeybadgerflys8162 bth MvR is pretty trash now, rocket to counter cruiser but that's everything it left, the infamous DB now hit like German gun. You can expect 15k from snipe CV, 20k is a lucky shot, and saturate hull take less damage overtime. But against FDR is another story, MvR can't outdamage FDR but can snipe her instead, which force FDR run away, reduce her effective ramge. And more important if FDR want to manual dodge, she must recall her aircraft. I have MvR and I can say snipe CV usually won't end well, it take so much time. If this FDR didn't have retaliate mind set, he could cripple half of SLM's team before he die while SLM spend 13 mins literally contribute nothing to his team.

I am sure Mr.Sir in the chat has no idea how OP FDR is and what happens if the ship was allowed full 20 mins game. All Mr.Sir has to do is to click Battle Button with any Tier X and be lucky enough to face a FDR and feel the fun and balans. But Mr.Sir would most likely report and forget about it, and this cycle repeats. Yes, THINKING MAN'S ACTION GAME.

Hey Sea Lord! I'm a CV main, I think you played very well and that enemy CV was just... really salty that you countered him. Taking out a FDR or occupying it where he ISN'T dropping his ordinance on your team is a huge win for your team. You did not throw and I hope you don't think badly of yourself or anything! If I were that CV, I would have commended you for countering me and he should have moved closer to his fleet instead of hiding in the back and going after you.

@sea Lord Mountbatten, I love the quote of "I am just an average player running a youtube channel and that is what I am and that's what I am always going to be. I'm never going to be anything else but average." I wish I were that humble and calm to claim that yet I find myself devolving into the lava font of positivity too much. I just need to accept the games as they are focus on the good and not the games where the team is awful.

A little tip that to help you hit ships that are turning inward to avoid your torpedo bombers. The FDR was actively looking to avoid your planes and was already turning his rudder at such an angle that he goes bow first to them by the time the torpedos reach his position. A way to help avoid this is to hold your attack when they are mid-turn and reposition yourself to attack them when they come out of the turn. If they’re turning right, you circle left and hold the W key so you turn wide. If they turn left, circle right and hold W. If you hold S or don’t hold a key, you won’t have enough range for your torps to arm. This won’t work on ships like destroyers and most light cruisers, since their turn time is so fast, but with a little practice and application to other other plane types it will really help improve your dpm.

if you left the FDR there is a very reasonable chance that the enemies would have won, at least 2 of your battleships were 1 hit from an FDR, and he could even do that with one squad if he did it right

Just had the same today. A Cleveland blocked my path and shouts "Get lost!". All the time after untill the end he was pushing other players to report me. In the end the only solution is to block chat.

You did nothing wrong, Sealord. Everyone has their different playstyles and its amazing that after so many years this game has been out, the old salt dogs just can't seem to grasp that its just a fucking game...and free for that matter. The toxic person acted like a child in chat. And his post was deleted on Reddit, if it was him.

MVR CV sniping is just part of the game. Was happening alot a few seasons back in Clan Battles even. Def a valid strat and pretty much the way to deal with it is to control your own CV and actively angle to the rockets, which are the things that really enable a CV snipe. It takes the enemy CV out of the match in terms of they have to sail the ship, not fly the planes. Or they just sit there and take it and you give up half ur planes to knock the enemy CV out very early.

Dont worry SeaLord... This is a classic example of s.... community players this game has. Very fun game...

Mate , haters are going to hate. As someone who is incessantly on the receiving end of CV love, I can’t think of a better contribution than taking out their CV... especially an FDR! If you were to rate the AA risk of taking on most of the other ships they had, the clear run to the FDR was the right action in THIS game. IMHO, your choice at the latter part of the game to help towards quick kills was also astute. As an older player (in my 60s), I have a VERY low tolerance for toxic players. They even pop up in Co-op and scenarios. I am a firm believer in calling them on it... in a positive way. Stand tall and keep up the good work!

Like have any of this guys seens RTS CVs? it was CV sniping 24/7 to have air dominance over the game and bomb without anything to stop you and helpimg your team by not having to worry about enemy CV. Now is not really a thing but if the enemy doesnt give u an option of atack without geting deplaned, then atacking enemy CV might be the only option you have to do any damage to suport the team.

To be fair you could have more influence by going up and wrecking key surface ships, but you made your point fair enough 😂
