This is a big if, but if accuracy and dispersion still work the way they did way back in v. 1, dispersion tightens, thus densifying the cone of fire from each individual gun. Accuracy makes the autoaim circle larger, thus creating more room for the individual gun aim points to for inside, which in turn means successful overlap of more wing mounted guns in a wider set of ranges to the target. When each gun's point of aim is inside the autoaim circle, it will hit, while the dispersion determines the rate of hits/misses while inside the autoaim circle.

I really wanted the accuracy at moving targets to increase. The way it seems to work now is there's a chance of hits even if there outside the aiming circle

Thanks for the review. I just got this plane yesterday and still learning it. I had a specialized one of these just wreck me in a game this weekend. I stumbled into you as well this weekend while you were streaming. Once on the same team and the second time I just harassed you a little on a Japanese turn fighter.

Oh cool! What were you ain and what was I in? The think with the American fighters is it's more about the airframe than the guns. Focus on putting yourself in the right place and you'll do well!

@@PostalMonkey I think I was running my Ki84 when we tussled in the center. I can't recall what you were in at the time, but you had me by a second or so in the turns. It took a few passes and I got a few hits off, but you kicked my butt. Every lose is a win if you learn from it right!

Holy cow, I finally dusted off the cobwebs and bought the -H model thanks to this video. I'm having more fun in this stock with my pilot stuck at 50% than I did in the -D specialized and upgraded with ultimate equipment.

@@PostalMonkey I just unlocked the upgraded airframe yesterday, and the guns are already unlocked from my trip through the multirole lines. Even more fun, and catches occasional non-spec 262s even with the bottom engine and my now mid-60% pilot.

I just got this plane a couple weeks ago and haven't really flown it. I decided to burn some free XP and upgrade all the guns/engines etc. and make it Elite. First battle out of the gate tonight was a Grade II and a Conqueror and a Kozhedub. I've never gotten that medal before. Now I realize I don't have as many hours as some but I felt really good about that. I went maneuverability for now. I was watching this video thru the fight and may swap to speed boosts, but for now I'm just going to run it like it is. So far I like it. I did get in a tango with a Yak-15 which I should have avoided, but I won 2/3 encounters so not terrible I guess.

After getting my p51H I was still unsure how the specialized one I encountered this weekend was making such short work of me in the other game. Here is another area where your videos are helpful. I took a closer look at your stats with equipment. The base armament 17 to your 21. Base airspeed, 59 to your 74...15 point difference!!! Maneuvering, base 65 to your 78. Those are some serious base number jumps. I'm still learning how I want to setup each plane I choose to specialize but this is a good raw comparison.

@@PostalMonkey will do for sure. I'm going to work on specializing it and might ask questions as I go. It's a fun plane but I think you said it in your other response. Except for the XP-54 American planes are really about the airframe.

Hey there, cool vid. I've seen you in game now and then. Your vid was enjoyable even just for your enthusiasm for the plane. When the 51-H first came out, I was not a fan at all. Oddly enough, I pulled it out of the attic a few weeks ago and it's become one of my favorites to play in. I don't always accomplish what I want to in it, but it's still a blast. Anyway, well done.

Hi Postal, (and Happy New Year) what do you think of the T7 Chinese P51K? I’d be interested to know, I feel like the Mustangs are all a tier too high , the Classic D and H (historically) should be on a par with the Spitfire V, Fw 190, 109E/F and Zero at tier 5 and 6. This is such a WW2 icon but it’s at the wrong tier. The only time a mustang should be fighting jets is if Chuck Yeager was flying it!

It's "ok" but I'm always turned off by the lack of usefulness of the Chinese planes in WoWp

I get why the 50-cals can seem more like "death by a thousand cuts" compared to 20/30mm cannons. I'm still grinding the F-84B, which also has 6 50-cals, on my way to the F-84F. Am I a masochist for going down the P-47 line? Maybe. But the F-84s at the end just seem to be worth it. Oddly enough, I got the P-51K out of a supply crate the other day and haven't tried it yet. How good is it?

P-47 line is a lesson in patience and pain. I'm working that line currently.

@@mrcharon6197 I've found the P-47s take a more GA mindset, in that you can nearly one-pass cap a base on your own, but you always know that when the other pilots decide to focus on you, they will get you eventually. P-47 is similar, but you can boost out of the zone before they get capture points from you and generally be a jerk to the other team, forcing them to spend way longer than they wanted if they are really determined to take you down. On the flip side, an ignored P-47 can cap, then boost to the next cap zone way faster than any GA.

@@goolash1000 Interesting that you said this. Originally I tried to play them as some sort of fighter ground attack hybrid (failing miserably I might add) then I shifted to more of a GA thought process and it got a little less painful. I'll have to work at this more. I'm determined to get thru this line!

My P-51 specialized has very close numbers to my elite FJ-1...in fact, with the extra boost, I prefer the p 51...

Postal Monkey - Do you use a joystick, or keyboard and mouse? Is there a way in this game to set up a joystick to have all the same functions as a keyboard and mouse?

I used to fly with a stick. Its a trade off...stick gives you better control of the aircraft, but mouse allows more situational awareness...its trickier to look around with a hat switch than a mouse...

It's got heavy fighter altitude, damn near heavy fighter speed, and way better maneuverability, the only real downside to it compared to any heavy fighter is the 6 .50s.

I prefer 109's for harassing heavies and bombers...the low damage of the 50's leaves you in the tail gunners sights too long in the mustang. I focus on countering fighters and multis in mine...

@@skunkbeard4205 the P-51s have to be more tactical when attacking bombers (like only from above or below) but yeah I tend to focus on Heavies and MRFs in the Mustang

@@PostalMonkey l found out that P 51 H is great bomber killer but from very close range. You just melt bombers. And 6x m. Guns are better in close combat. They never overheat while guns on me209A does. So my spec. P51H IS GREAT bombers heavy and defence aircraft killer.

Some battles you gotta go where the action is. I was also working on the 'kill while defending' mission. Just because you have the height advantage doesn't mean you have to stay high ☺️

@@PostalMonkey You make a good point here and it brings up a question or idea for a video even. It may seem to be common knowledge to some and maybe its my play style or the fact I pretty much play solo right now where some games I'll score 14000 points but have one bar and there will be another plane in first with 3 bars and 9000 points. I need to do better at maximizing the scoreboard. Besides, the credits are better! LOL

Hi. You have a good channel. I see you and Vee bat know each other. He has been missing from his channel for 8 months now. With the chaos we have in our world now, many people have expressed concern and are worried about him. Is Vee bat okay? When is he coming back? He is greatly missed.
