I'm at the Me 265 and IL-20 GAA planes. Yes, without a top tier bomber (which I have none) I'm in the same grind as you are trying to get 2 mil of ground target destruction. To say the grind to accrue enough xp to get the next tier plane is painfully slow (even with boosters) is an understatement. I do like the Me 265 much better than the IL-20 even though it's 1 tier lower because I can easily shoot down other GAA with my Me 265 guns and typically can get 3 areal kills in battle on average. The huge sniper cannon on my IL-20 can't do that.

Now if I can manage to get to the 2 mil ground target damage, I have a relative wealth of GAs, like the Il-10, Il-20, Me 329 (specialized, BTW), and Me P.1099 B2. Plus I have a Ju 88A in the bombers category if I should want/need it.

ugh tell me about it. I went through every heavy in my repertoire for the triple xp this weekend trying to get that badge. with no dice. usually the battle not lasting long enough or not killing planes fast enough or what have you. the usual problems. then i hopped into my 109 Z and lucky for me i was 'dialed in' on those mk 103's from the start. Managed a Marseille's along with all the usual badges that one accrues with such success. McCampbell, McGuire, a Golubev and an Ace. Which was enough for my Flying Paladin. Twice over. Sure was nice to get 4 tokens (first medal of the day) along with the 3 credit boosters. ANd metric ton of xp and credits x3 for first win in the plane. A very satisfying win after an hour or so of "nope. not quite enough"

Quick update: not only do I finally get a Flying Paladin badge, I get back-to-back Flying Paladin badges. One was in an I-220, the other in an Me-209A. Now trying to get air defense kills which on some maps and in some planes is easier said than done.

hello man, I am opala73_leandro, great battle that, as you said your team did not help much, but I do not remember saying that we were in t10 to disrupt the 2 million mission. I am trying to get this il-40p but I do not know if it's worth it since I have the p-1102b, thanks for the video!

I gave up on this pilot after the fiasco of the GA mission - over a dozen attempts and still only ever able to get 4. I do have the P1102 B unlocked, but don't yet have the credits for it. Will be getting them soon, as for the IL-40P still working in the IL-8 almost have the IL-20 unlocked, but it's a slow process lol

That one was tough. I actually had FallenAngel016 in a flight with me while streaming on Twitch. I think it helped the game last longer and allowed me to rack up the armored targets. Plus I ignored most of the unarmored tents.

I was lucky in that regard to have the "Narwhal" 50mm cannon researched on my 1099 B2. Alternatively, if you have the 57 mm cannons unlocked on the Il-20 that's great, too. Failing that, a bomber might be good.
