I really like the subtle difference between G'huun's lines and the other old gods, G'huun's voice sounds raspy, has various unpleasant background noises, and is very fragmented, all of which give the idea that G'huun's barely understands the basics of speech and is more "brute forcing" it's intent with psychic powers, as opposed to the old gods who have clear, precise, and ordered voices. There's also the fact that almost all of G'huun's lines seem to be little more than it stating it's intentions, as opposed to the old gods who carefully chose words to demoralize, sway, or goad the players.

I also noted he specifically calls it "the curse of flesh" while the rest of the Old Gods (specifically N'zoth) call it a gift. I don't know the meaning behind that but I thought it interesting.

Creepiest is best for Ghun. The Old Gods that are just pieces of there Original selfs are meant to have vast knowledge and seen multiple outcomes of events in the present and future. Even the quotes of The Old Gods might even be part of the true path. They thought it was just sinister warnings but those warnings are what lead us to this point.

I love this voice he penetrate my mind on progress. The best line for me is : Feel the twitch in your spine? That is where i exist.

Agreed. I really enjoy that transition from low growls to high pitch wheezing, and those weird eerie sounds just make it better.

For a nongrimdark fantasy, definitely. He’s like a baby Nurgle.

I really like how his voice changes from growls to almost high pitched whining, while companied by eerie and unpleasant sounds. Old gods and Aqir are bis.

G'huun was a great concept but done dirty in BfA. Where the other Old Gods are cosmic horrors from the Void itself (a plane outside of our own); G'huun, is a cosmic terror born in our own plane of being. He could've been a great set up for a Void X-pac where he tries to escape from Azeroth and recklessly frees N'zoth and Yogg; however, he didn't get the chance to be a true force of horror story telling.

This voice actor is Kellen Goff, without a doubt. His voice work for the Fiddlesticks rework in League of Legends is identical to this and insanely recognizable. I wouldn't be surprised if Riot Games hired him based on this very performance.

It's like Nurgle had finally succeeded in blessing a tyranid with one of his diseases, and this is the result. This old god is more like a cancer than the void old gods ever were, and they're just tools for even more powerful beings that don't whisper in your mind, they scream from within louder than a banshee being smited by holy fire.

Decade 2020 in a nutshell, here. Love the voice work.

I loved the nazmir ark leading up to uldir and ghun.

G'huun would be proud with the current state of affairs in the world.

Dying to sickness and decay will give a true and agonizing death. This is the old god who will give you the worst death imaginable. I feel bad for G'huun who intended to live with this for all eternity. But i guess he's into this shit.

So I have a theory about the old gods, each one quotes an organ where they belong in you, cthun your heart will explode, yogg saron your brain, Nzoth your lungs, yssarhj your legs and ghuun your spine but I think all five were responsible for the curse of flesh and not just one.

@@KodokuTenshiClan, he's techniacally an Old God, but not fully. Like, people refer to him as an Old God and in the game you see that he is drawing on the Void's energy. But he does not have a history relating to the other Old Gods. He wasn't involved in the Black Empire (for what we know) and we know he might not be on the Void's side, BUT we don't know enough about G'huun (after all, he was technically not mentioned much in the story UNTIL Battle for Azeroth came out) to determine if he trully was an Old God or not. He might have been just a crazy beast or a regular god that the titans accidently(?) created, we don't know, so we'll have to wait until we learn more about him

@@NA-wh2hy he was an accidental creation within uldir, where the titans tried to find a cure for the corruption of the old gods. he is basically the will of corruption that became flesh. so yeah, he is an old god, though in comparison to the other three alive ones really weak and not infused in azeroth at all. probably he is even the second old god that is actually dead after y'shaarj

How G'huun works is complicated, infact, how the Old gods and the void work is complicated because we don't know enough about them. When the void lords get added to the game they're basically going to be a new whole villian. G'huun was basically a whole new villian, because we weren't given enough info about them. We don't even know who the void lords trully are.

G'Huun is a lot more stronger and scarier than people give him credit. Unlike other old gods (minus N'zoth) we were able to overcome them with brute strength but G'Huun we needed the aid of the Titan's defenses in Uldir to keep his corruption at bay. If he had gotten loose upon the world we would be F.

This was really cool but all I can think when listening to it's voice is "Nope, fuckin' hate that" and that is perfect for an Old God
