I read the description and I found out the game by the exact same way. My family used to always go to the public library, and when I wasn't looking at books in the kids section, I would be on the computers, I have a hazy memory of loading up the computer, exited, just to go to the science section on the library educational display and click World of Goo. Only problem is that it had a 15 minute time limit on it so I never even got CLOSE to getting past the first level. Then maybe 1 or 2 years ago, when the World of Goo was just a hazy memory, I saw my brother playing the game, I asked him what it was and It looked familiar, and he said it was somthing along the lines of; "World of Goo, "Remember? The game that we used to play on the computers at the library?" And then I remembered the entire thing, I quickly asked my mom If I could download it and she said yes, so far I've beaten all of the levels, NO SKIPS! All the way up to chapter 4, and I'm currently working on beating the ending, Spring. Another problem is the game existing on the computer in the first place. Remember, this was an EDUCATIONAL COMPUTER, G RATED Gaming, in the KIDS SECTION of a PUBLIC LIBRARY. And I feel like the World of Goo is far from a kids game, JUST because it's a PHYSICS SIMULATION dosen't mean it's a kids game, instead quite litterally being the opposite, instead being a game about the problems with rampid consumerism in todays market, capitalist economy funding big companys MILLIONS of BILLIONS of dollars, and how that could quite litterally spell the end of the world. Anyways skip to present day and I'm watching the Game Awards Preshow, and I swear once the announcement trailer starts I immedietly switch to being REALLY EXITED and being like "IS THAT TOMMOROW CORPORATION ART STYLE WITH WORLD OF GOO GAMEPLAY ON A TV!?" I swear once she, (BTW Right once I saw the girl in the trailer I now have a headcanon that it's Sugar Plums from Little Inferno) said "Too bad they didn't make another one." I IMMEDIATLY KNEW WHAT THIS WAS, And I was SO EXITED! I had the EXACT same reaction you did and was jumping UP and DOWN in exitement! I'm SO EXITED for World of Goo 2, and can't wait for us to get the first release date and eventually play. Now, If you excuse me I'm gonna finish up the original game, goodnight.

i have no idea who these people are, but i feel the EXACT same way. world of goo was one of the only games that i ever got from the wii shop and i became absolutely obsessed with completing it while i spent the majority of kindergarten sick at home. i'm 20 now. the hype has me FERAL and CRYING

I turned 20 this year as well! I played it on touchscreen originally in I think 2011, I replayed it on switch this year and it was a beautiful nostalgia trip! I was not expecting a sequel, but I’m happy!

Being a veteran of this game after playing it for 12 or 13 years throughout my childhood, I went *HYPER* when I saw this.

World of Goo is one of the premier BIG indie games that helped really kick off the indie game market on PC and the rest of the platforms, I'd argue. Alongside games like Da Blob, Gish, and... Darwinia?

This trailer got me so hyped like I was watching a smash bros character reveal LOL

Well now I regret not watching the game awards. Found the trailer while scrolling through KZread and had to quadruple check that it wasn't a fan made trailer, after 10 minutes I convinced myself it was real

I played the demo on my Wii (which I STILL HAVE BTW) and played and beaten the full game on my nintendo switch I saw this and fuckin yelled. This caught me off guard

I downloaded that demo on my Wii literally days before the Wii shop was shut down lol (so like 2018 or 2019), didn't get the full game b/c I didn't have money for it; however my uncle had the game on his Wii so I did play it a lot growing up myself.

Kind of wished I watched the awards just for this announcement Brought so many of my memories from when I was a teenager.

I almost soyjak'd, it did bring a genuine smile to my face to hear the news, which is not common.

this trailer felt like seeing an old childhood friend for the first time in 20 years, only to find out that you still vibe with them.

"It's a popular Wii game, also mobile I think" = peasant detected

This is by far the coolest reaction, others are just "Idk what is dis, cool puzzle" or "Oh, World of goo, i know it", but this reaction literally discribes my emotions

That was basically me I was so excited and noone could understand why

For me, this is about the most exciting game announcement that could ever happen! It felt like something that would never happen. It has been far too long to reasonably expect the creators to ever return to the idea. It's the kind of thing I would literally dream about and than wake up in disappointment that such a thing could never exist! All I can say is, thank you! Sometimes, life turns out good!
