World Health Day 2024: My health, my right
The World Health Day theme this year is: 'My health, my right’. It reaffirms what WHO has affirmed since its birth on the 7th of April, 1948: that health is a right for all people, not a luxury.
At least 140 countries recognize the right to health in their own constitutions. And yet, around the world, that right is often unrealized or under threat.
Realizing the right to health means passing and implementing laws to ensure people can access the health services they need, where and when they need them, without financial hardship. And it means addressing the reasons people get sick and die.
It means: safe drinking water, clean air and good nutrition; quality housing and decent working and environmental conditions; and freedom from discrimination.
This World Health Day, we call on all people to know and advocate for health rights for yourself and for everyone else.

There is a need for governments and health institutions to support this very emotional and interesting idea by making sure everyone got the right to health. This right should be practical... clinics or health services should be at every corner of the globe. Thanks for this wonderful video.

My health, my right. Every world government must continually make efforts to give people adequate health care. I think of the people overwhelmed at the moment, where their daily lives are an ordeal, their health rights are violated, pious thoughts to the populations of the East of the DRC, to Ukraine, Hamas, etc. to all these states at war we let us pray that their rights to life and health are as possible as for any other human on earth 🙏🏽
