Kapil sir was the only and main fast bowler of india that time with the capability of playing as a batsman on 5th or 6th number which is pure batsman batting order number .. i mean in that era he had the talent of half team and a rare fast bowling talent . Back in 1992 such things was not there that's why the career of any sportsman ends within 30, Kapil even stretched a little bit more upto 33. Olden days even athletes used to participate in one Olympics only but now a days they are crossing 3 due to advancement of technology.

This was the first world cup when i started watching cricket i was 9 yrs old that time...but memories are still fresh ,used to get 4 am early morning,papa se gallia padti k padhta nai cricket dekh raha...after this match i came to know about sachin and since then he becomes our favourite and still is...An 18; yrs old buy cracked a ton in perth test and i remember the great commetator said that " A new star of cricket has borm" bcos perth pich is always bouncy and fastesr in world but sachins cut shots were awesome...he is a small man but played bouncer on right on top of bowling. Bowling. ..sachin sachiin we miss this quote from crowd now..

I was 8, what an era it was. Hearing "Sachin Sachin" whenever he comes to bat. People were really very crazy about him. Watching cricket and playing cricket was my topmost hobbies of all time!! Leg spin bowling mein ball bahut turn hoti thi. Still remember, still old school....

Sachin batted through eons. Generations played with him. All liked him. Ramakant Acherajer sir you created the best batsman ever. Ajit always played with Sachin no matter what. Thank you. Anjali bhabhi thank you.. India smiled when you and family were stuck praying and not moving.. a very dear sacrifice for a substantial nation.. it's never easy and in this era it was nothing less than a miracle.

Sachin is not a man, he is the God of cricket, i love him and his entire family who like an army family gave him comfort in the service to the nation. His temple is the cricket pitch and I am just a worshiper of him. To me he is God. Because i know my God is just like him.

This match was my part of life because when i was study in 3rd standard, i asked to my parents today India vs Pakistan match i don't want go to school but they were send to me school. I was crying and went to school. when I came back my school my parent said to me when your went to school, I told someone from your school student my son was going there and told him to come back. i can't digestion at the moment I still cry thinking about it. Because that was India and Pakistan rivalry but I never forgot funny fights between Javed Miandad and Kiran More the match.... Unforgettable memory....

It wasn't just about the quality of bowling and the size of bats back then. The size of the ground, lack of fielding restrictions, the balls were smaller and also other rules which restricted the scores.

To be Honest, I only saw two players performing... A ending Kapil dev and a budding sachin tendulakar... All other players were at their prime, still these two showed why they deserve in an all time XI for the nation...

Nostalgic we used to wake up early in morning to watched those WC matches. And that Pakistan/India encounter was classic brilliant batting by Azharuddin and the way Pakistan bowl were always worth watching phenomenal pace & swing by Wasim with skipper Imran Khan truly a masterpiece of our times. Pure genuine cricket Sachin did his best for India. India won but Pakistan were really bounce back and lift the cup.WC1992 Champions 🏆🏟🏏

For kind information I am not an indian, but generally the Indian Spectators expect India to win all the time, that's natural but if India doesn't perform on that day they entire Nation will blame certain individuals. I don't want to comment on Mr Sanjay Majakar But Mr Ravi Shasthri was a reasonably good alrounder in his times, but unfortunately he often went through so many injuries. People will discuss Sachin and anything else. But, the greats like Imran and Kapil had to be seen by my generation, which was just around 10 or 11 years old in 1992. Playing for their own legacy and the nation, what a fantastic knock. Fantastic. Love from Pakistan for greats such as Kapil Dev and the legendary Sunil Gawasker, although retired at time.

Kapil Dev strike rate is 94.4 1992. Unbelievable & Tendulkar strike rate was 87.7 in 1992 - Tendulkar strike rate throughout his career was 87. Doesn't matter which number he bats for India.

Azhar scored 32 runs in 48 balls.if our team had 11 azhars,we would have scored 196 runs and lost the match(most probably).

before the Duckworth-Lewis rule came in........... Felt so bad how India lost to Australia....still feels yug....India was winnijng that match hands down if the Duckworth -lewis rule had come in and yes....South Africa in final not England......those rain-rules ..ruined those matches

2011 where he was dropped dozen times. Drs also tampered. Pakistan was already threatened before the match by shiva sena that will kill all Pakistani players in mumbia. Then srilankan sport minister said that the final was fixed. The whole World Cup was a joke.

This is the commentary i love not some akash Chopra crap of Hindi commentary.

Kiran more Manoj prabhakar Ajay jadeja All three of them had a blot on their carrier later bcoz of controversy but in this game you can see they put all their soul and heart in this match for india also jadejas inning in 1996 WC in banglore against pak....so I will always admire and respect these 3 players.

Azhar was in tremendous form in this world cup with 4 fifty plus scores. He was the highest run scorer for india in this world cup.. In this match his two cover drives off imran khan were timed so gracefully.

Imran was struggling for pace in this world cup(42 y).even our runjee trophy batsman would have given better performance than so called azar -imran contest .

India's biggest mistake was not opening with sachin and wasting him at no 4, especially when ODI cricket was changing with teams like lanka and NZ playing attacking in first 15 years.

Most accurate Umpire even if he was old he continued for more 15 years since then with out any technological help... That old man had great eye sight and decision making ❤❤

What a great quality of broadcast,picture quality is really awesome at that time we used to watch on Weston colour telivision at that time,but power cuts were frequent at that time but great days
