The "Fool" in the Rain is about himself. He's been waiting and waiting for his love to meet up with him at a street corner. Time is passing by as he watches people and cars for hours and worries that her lateness might be her standing him up, but then finally realizes he's mistakenly been waiting for her on the wrong block! Sweet, funny, lovely song lyrically and wickedly brilliant musically.😍
Some context: this is from the last studio album, In through the out door… Jimmy and bonzo were deep into their addictions, and less involved the previous albums… so this a Robert Plant/JPJ heavy album. All the drummers out there go nuts when they hear this track, the shuffle beat is really hard to nail, and then it slips into a full blown Samba, just another facet of the greatest band in history. Love your reactions man, you really get what makes this band so incredible.

Most correct comment I’ve heard about this track/album. I try to play this beat so many times and fuck it up after 20 seconds every time 😅

Robert Plant later said that his working so closely with John Paul Jones helped out of a dark time in his life as he was still grieving over the death of son Karac. Love that you love Led Zeppelin!

One of my favorite Zepplin songs. “I’m just a fool waiting on the wrong block” 🤣
A straight up masterpiece of percussion!!!!

Hell yeah, as a drummer I know that he’s putting together two different types of beats and it’s not easy to count
I Love It! "Where was the rain? That was pure rainbows and sunshine". I am loving this generation discovering the brilliance of Led Zeppelin.
This song is made by Bonzos drumming, awesome shuffle!
Bonzo was the star in this song
Led Zeppelin: “You’re welcome. “ 🔥🔥🔥
Something about the bop of this. Makes one feel loose and sexy. Led Zeppelin for the win. Always. ❤️

Don't feel bad, I have a drummer friend, he's been playing for like 40 years now, he can nail Slayer, Maiden, Slipknot, any metal drummer he can copy to a T, but he still cannot get Bonham's rhythms just right, those grooves and that timing and feel just evades him

@@m.ericwatson968 Lots of drummers can play all the right hits...But it's the "feel " they get wrong
Led Zeppelin songs can pick you up and take you to another place.
led zeppelin set the bar so high to this day no band as match them . hammer of the gods
Led Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 15. I am 64 now! that's how good they are.
“Mind boggling” that sums it up well. The rain was the samba section in the middle.. greatness rained down.
Zep! None other! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥BONZO! 😁
WE'RE GONNA GROOVE - LED ZEPPELIN
Literally one of my favorite songs in the WORLD!!!! FReaking awesome!!!!!!! LOVE that song!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!
Yeah , Pope- they do do it all. But it was the good old Blues plus Soul plus Rock that brought these lads together as Blues Rock rocketing up to where they were free to try just about anything they wanted. But you knew all that, didn't you? You know, intrinsically. Peace and be safe.

They do everything well!! Ok...fabulously!
My favorite Zeppelin song!!!!
Amazing stuff ! John Bonham blows the whistle at the beginning of that middle section - he blows it throughout the middle part. Jonesy's piano was incredible - Jimmy's guitar solo so good and on ! Robert's vocal good ! That was their last studio album - John Bonham passed away 13 months and 10 days after the release of that album
If there was any doubt who was and is the best rock drummer of all time (the GOAT)...it was laid to rest on this one folks ! JMHO.
Great reaction. This was recorded at ABBA`s Polar studio`s in Stockholm. Both Bjorn & Benny were huge admirers of Led Zeppelin and invited them to travel to Sweden to record In Through The Out Door.
I love this album. In the Evening and Southbound Suarez are both real good.
I love that Samba breakdown, so good. 🔥🔥💯
Lovin' All Reactions Man! No Pausing every 10 seconds. No BABBLING On, & On Endlessly during the Pause. I can watch you REACT to the Music 🎶 . Which is what I Enjoy. It's like " I knew he'd like it" If they Listen, and Not Pause all the DAMN Time! And BONZO'S Drumming in this has people Mind Boggeled. And has Modern day Drummers Challenging them Selves to learn the Drum 🥁 Riffs in this. Because learning the Riffs, and the Timing for this is DAUNTING!! OH, And Did you notice the Xylophone after the Whistle?? Great Reaction Man! Peace ✌️

These are thge Gods of Rock!!! Good video man, glad the younger gen is listeing to the classics.
Ding ding ding, he said they can do it all. He most definitely gets them. 👍👍👍
The drumming is second to none in this song. Very expert level
This is the song that started my Zeppelin addiction.
This band were the complete package and then some.Never be another like them, superb ☘
And again with Bonham, that drumbeat, like his own version of the Purdie Shuffle; if you listen to Rosanna by Toto, Jeff Porcaro said his drumbeat on that track is like a hybrid of the Purdie Shuffle and Fool in the Rain

Hey Carvin, You’re 100% correct my friend, plus Jeff and Purdie had sessions with Steely Dan in the 1970’s. 👍
Another genre from LZ - a samba groove - and another great reaction. Bonzo is so smooth in this! that shuffle he developed!!
I love all their moods but I'm still partial to their bluesy stuff. Tea For One is one of my all time faves.
This song made me fall in love with Zeppelin…… John Bonham
it’s raining buckets here but i’m cozy inside thankfully 😅 hope y’all are well 🙏🦋✌🏻
There can be ONLY ONE.

my husband has this album from when it came out & I don’t know if he knows that ..I doubt it because he lent it to me to keep at my office for a while and didn’t mention it. Cool fun fact! Thanks! Um going to get the album in the morning and try it with him. I hope it still works 👍✌🏻

being from Virginia I found the virginia license plate interesting them being a British band…there are a lot of cool things on that album cover
I believe this was off their last album including that one “Hotdog” that a lot of people don’t like, personally I like the song “In the evening” off the same album.
Samba Zeppelin!
I love your channel...great reactions! This was on the last album before Bonzo died...a sample of what their 80s sound would have been. Try Caroselambra...it is very different and off this album too. Gotta like that little salsa/carribean sound in there!
Bonzo...... The Drum Deity
Hi Pope! I want to say that I love how you love Zeppelin. I love how you express yourself. You're not faking it for likes. You really are impressed with Zeppelin as we all are. My first time hearing them was age 13 in 1989. An older guy in my neighborhood saw me outside one spring afternoon and said "Hey Aud, have you ever listened to Zeppelin?" I said "No, Joey, I never have." He said that that needed to be changed. Because I was into rock and metal I need to be educated in some Zeppelin. So about a few days later he was cutting a neighbors lawn by my house and saw me outside and stopped the mower, grabbed some water out of the hose and motioned for me to run over. So I did. "I have a blank tape of all Zeppelin tunes I recorded from the radio (WBAB 102.3) when they played all Zeppelin back to back over an entire weekend a while back. So here you go. Listen and let me know." I was instantly taken. I was in awe. I would never be the same. I fell in love and I'm still in love. Thank you so much for enjoying the music my dear.
My favorite example of Bonham's perfection.
My absolute favorite drum song. That beat moves me.
I love this song. Still is depressing when you understand the lyrics...guess that is why I like it.

not really all that depressing. Man didnt get stood up, just was a fool on the wrong corner. hes still got his shot;)
They were definitely trendsetters
After watching the video you did about Bonham's drumming it's amazing to hear how good they are. Playing different time signatures at the same time. Excellent reaction!
Please do Caroselambra!
“You didn’t even feel like you were in the rain…” LOL! I like that!
What's makes this MY FAVORITE? The elements of Rock, Gospel (piano solo), Reggae, South American and African beats...Just fantastic The drums, Bass, Guitar and Vocals...Awesome
That's the reaction I expect! Great job!
I hear you, the best, zep!!
Thank you for the reaction.
Hello from Cody Wyoming! You're awesome keep it up🤠 Led Zeppelin is my favorite band by far ever! And your reactions do them Justice...thank you, sir!!

Jimmy page is one of the best producers EVER!! That along with being four of the best at what they do makes incredible music.
John Bonhams best track
You chose a number 1 song! Epic for life
Maybe one day you could react to a band called supertramp A couple of good songs are the logical song., goodbye stranger and breakfast in America And on a side note a song called I'm shaking by Jack white is pretty cool too

Even in the Quietest Moments is another great song.
The only band ever to have the ability to transition to a completely different genre mid song..
this is one of there songs that was played in late 70s into the 80s constantly. was not a day on radeo this song wasnt played
Now you must hear Talk from YES, 1994.....it is sooooooooooooo great....unlike and style of their previous albums....And YES just released their NEW ALBUM, " THE QUEST" Go check that out too.

Try 'Darlene'. Their take at old-style R&R.

Great Popenyco, the best reactions on Zeppelin songs..,In this song we highlight the great BONHAM with an amazing drum groove.
There were four different covers for this album, all the same scene but taken from a different place in the bar
I love the guitar solo on this!
Shout out to JPJ.
You really come across as a supremely intelligent, chill kinda guy.........got my respect anyway.

Lovr the Caribbean feel mixed into the middle of the song! Genius flow and feel from the a band with 4 exceptional musicians playing as one, every song has a glimmer of greatness! The only band I truly love and they never disappoint me...
calypso bomb
Dude you were born in the wrong era! You get it! 🙂
The drum groove is based on the "Purdie Shuffle" by Bernard Purdie. I recommend the video where he explains it.
Don't forget the final release called CODA
Yaay Zeppelin! Good Luck on your channel :)
