Long live THE MIGHTY ZEPPELIN!!
Truly they were not from planet Earth ... The greatest band ever ...
for me, this is their best live performance...
Led Zeppelin the only performers classified as Gods. Four greatest musicians ever assembled in one band.

@@rogermeadowstaylor3256 They are definitely Gods ! You missed the boat - there's always a few who do, but it's ok lil' buckaroo.
4 monsters. None is better than the other. The key to led zeppelin.
Okay I think you're ready for it now. 1973" Dazed and Confused" live at Madison Square Garden. 26 minutes of unbelievable guitar , mind blowing bow work , thunderous drums and rapid beat with John Paul Jones bumping on the bass .it's a must see.The ESP kind of improvision throughout is unlike anything you have ever seen. It is probably the best live recorded song that has ever been done by any band. Just one of many reasons why they are the greatest band to ever grace the stage. they were then, they are today and they will forever be tomorrow, 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💯💯💯💯🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🥁🥁🥁🎹🎹🎹🎤🎤🎤🎤

Totally! And from the same performance, No Quarter. In fact, the whole concert!!!
Led Zeppelin opened and was captivating from the start and just kept pulling us in. Creative, experimental, music genius, and had that it factor song after song.
I appreciate that you do some of the Zeppelin material no one else is doing. Keep up the good work.

yes, I*m so glad that parts of the young generation starts to love LZ like we old ones keep doing it. Thank you very much
You can’t find any bands that have the best bass vocals drums and guitarist in the entire universe
You Know back in the 60's there were no computers or the technology we have today....artist and musicians had to make up different sounds using their instruments, always experimenting with other objects and their instruments to make the right type sounds that expressed or add to the song. Here is Led Zeppelin like other groups of that day....doing this.

As a musician myself whon never sought fame, I totally agree. They had to improvise & learn their craft, recordings were done in one take as studio time cost money most bands just couldn't afford to make a mistake & do another take. They played the shitty little bars & took the abuse etc & put in their full apprenticeships. This song is based on The Hunter sung best by the Brit band Free, later Bad Company with Paul Rodgers on vocals in both bands,
😮This is bad ass as always I'm now 65 now.. I was ten years old.. please believe me.. im not kidding and this was my favorite song and band when the (ZEPPELIN)came out with there first album came out in sixty nine......
The most amazing thing about this video is the kids in the audience not moving.
The audience was 100% not prepared for this performance. 😏😏😏
At this performance Robert had just turned 20
On guitar Jimmy Page…wreeeeeaaaaahhhhhh……& the rest is history 🎶🎸🔥🎼🇬🇧🎤🎹🥁🪶GOAT!
Bonzo beating those drums like they owe money...................pure greatness!
I love the story regarding Robert Plant who was married, had a child and was 19 yrs old. He and his wife agreed that if his singing career didn’t work out by his 20th birthday, he would go into teaching. He auditioned for Jimmy Page prior to his 20th birthday, was hired, and the rest is Rock and Roll history!
you're a true Renaissance man... Listening to/watching "How many more times" by Led Zeppelin at your age is revealing. EDIT: Cello Bow, not Violin bow, too small. Peace.
BONHAM WAS A BEAST
At this time in music, no mom or dad was ready for this, there was absolutely no music like this, until, the mighty Zeppelin came on scene. Rock history was made. My older brother still has a bow from a show he went to..when you hold it,you can still feel Jimmy's greatness..
These 4 young lads started it all...no one ever came close.
They were brand new, it’s like watching something give birth!!!
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time
They were a combination like no other. How do you even decide who was best?
I was 15 and it feels like only yesterday listening to the GOATS!!!!
What you are hearing is why so many Hip Hop artists sample them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love all the proper respect..LZ The GOAT! JS.
Very few musicians are on this level....put them together they are the 5th element
This was one of the very first concerts...you should watch the whole thing. Page and Bonham were only 19 or 20 here

Page was 25 in this video. He is the oldest of the band. Plant and Bonzo are the youngest, probably 19 while making this.
Just imagine turning up to this show, their first show, & being slapped in the face with this, when no one else on the planet was doing anything like it in 1969. You can see why they became one of the 'Pillars of Rock'. As others have stated, the next video should be 'Dazed & Confused' ( the 29 minute version) from the MSG show in 1973. (The Song Remains The Same)

Early show , but not their first . I have a murky but good performance from late 1968 . Seattle or Vancouver ... somewhere around there . Page used to bill them as the NEW YARDBIRDS . The other Yardbirds probably put a stop to that ...

@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 There is a soundbaord from the Texas Pop Festival that is as good as it gets . I mainly like the 1968 show because the drums are louder than anything else in the mix . But the general quality of sound is pretty ragged . The film of the Yardbirds doing " Im Confused " is sort of a missing piece , too . I even had a whole album by the folk singer who wrote the song , but it was pretty average .
God, i love that telly.- no other guitar sounds like that specific telecaster. So in-your-face jangly and awesome!
We just know in '69 the people in that crowd were like...WHAT THE F**K DID I JUST HEAR???? 🤯🤯🤯🤯😂❤❤
It's so nice to see the musicianship 6 months into the formation of the group! Unmatched

When you see everyone playing like this this is where they got it from
I remember first time I watched this. High AF. Holy friggin’ moly.
Bonham hitting that kit like it owes him money
Those kids in the audience were so confused haha
No Quarter live from Madison square garden 1973... So euphoric in my opinion
These boys used to make me almost stop breathing. So much talent.
"My, my, my Rosey!"
This was recorded on 17th March, 1969 at Radio Danmark in Copenhagen, so Robert and Bonzo were 20 (the record version was recorded in October, 1968). They already had all the tools, the chops, the tricks, the ability, the VOICE... it took another 3 years to gain the charisma that they carry to this day. Good on you, Pope for sticking with them. PS It was a cello bow, more sturdy than a violin bow. Peace and be safe.
Greatest rock band EVER. Jimmy shreds it
That's what it is!

Incomparable
Robert was 20!
Master musicians - all! This is the level of improvisation, musicianship, groove and fabulous riffs after only playing together for 6 months at this point. I've been a fan since late 1968 and loved your reaction. Will be subscribing to follow your other reactions! Thank you
compare this song to the performance of 1970. only one year later ( royal albert hall) 20 min. long. It will blow you away for sure!! It' s on youtube since 2 days...
Robert Plant & John Bonham were 19 years old at this time.
You need to see this hole session. I think it's there very best live performance
They were inspired by old Mississippi delta blues.
Love your reaction. Your awesome
Jimmy was the anchor of the band. Do the studio version. Before, he started Led Zeppelin-he was a top backup for the other groups. Please check out the great Jeff Beck. Rip.
"Little Robert Anthony wants to, come and Play. Why don't you come to me Babe, Steal Away"

You said it all!
This was if im not mistaken Led Zeppelins introductive performance to the World of Rock & Roll in which they would become the Demi God Kings of for perpetuity
Remarkable that plant and bonzo were only 21 years old here.
So young here and so obvious how big they would become
I've been a Zeppelin collector for decades now. Every month I would go to record conventions to see what videos live recordings I could pick up. I remember when a guy who sold video came up with this 30 + years ago everyone was amazed as a group of up stood at his booth watching this new video. I've seen Page in various different bands with the violin bow 20 or more times and each times I was absolutely amazed.

Hi, bro! I respect U. Salute from Russia.
They were pretty good
This film seems to suggest that Page was playing better in 1969 than in 1973 when the SONG REMAINS show was filmed . A serious rival to Hendrix . The song - with a slightly different title - is by blues legend HOWLIN WOLF Burnett . This is probably the best filmed performance of JOHN BONHAM . Watch how he slams his drum kit around ...
Been a minute since I've seen this, and remembered that this was in their infancy (as a collaboration) and dumbfounded by how much more there was to come...
Not too bad for a 20 year old drummer and singer!

Aliens
The Mighty Led Zeppelin..A Zeppelin is a blimp think good year blimp…Legend has it the drummer for The Who Keith Moon when asked by Jimmy Page the Guitarist here what he thought of his band the New Yardbirds Moon said this band would go over like a Lead Zeppelin because he thought the band would fail and so They renamed the band Led Zeppelin and the rest is history…
This made my morning coffee so much better!! Lol
Man you be lucky bro you tube doesn’t let most up load this one. Love it….
Hey Pope, you should check out the Royal Albert Hall version of how many more times . It’s great to see how the song evolved on stage. Have a wonderful day☮️
you better be clapping harder than that at the end ..... think? YEA, you got it - And THANX for acknowledging JP Jones, the most underrated member of the band, who ALSO played keyboards, including like a church organ sometimes in classic songs ..... SO underrated ........ and so I've read (NO 1st hand knowledge) held them together during some of the band's HARD drug problems a bit later
I like that you love all the old rock I grew up on. Do yourself a huge favor Woodstock Alvin Lee ten years after I'm going home and Santana Soul sacrifice. You will love the energy in these 2 performaces
have to remember there just coming out of the 60s no one has ever heard anything like this elvis beetles guys like that all you heard lol it didnt go over well in there country they had to come to america to get big and still this kind of rock sound was un heard of closest was maybe joplin and hendrix was as hard as it got
How Many More Times from Royal Albert Hall 1970 is unbelievable!
If the members had to introduce themselves, then, whoa, were they just forming their group.
