Mo is a great tactical racer, but lets's face it, he can't come close to Bekele. Mo had his dominance when the level of competition was not the very best.

Bekele is the best long distance runner ever by far. WR 10k and 5k, 11 times World Champion in corss country, 3 olimpic gold medals without being the Nike Oregon Project (money and ads). In marathon, well he's at 2" from Kipchoge but I would bet on him should they finally clash, one day. The under 2 hours records is not official for very good reasons. The only prob with Bekele is that he is shy and can't speak a good english, but he's is at next level, compared to the others.

No, Bekele won three Golds and a Silver behind El Guerrouj at 5000m in Athens 2004. Bekele would win no problem. Bekele is far faster over 5000m and 10,000m.

tommytempo1 oh no! You got me here. Bekele was coming from a year off due to knee and ankle injury. Guess what.... right after the London Games, at the Great Manchester run, Bekele won against Farah easily. These two are in different class. Bekele is the greatest ever and his record is here to stay for a very long time.

In 2012 when Bekele was beaten by his own brother, in a 27:30 race is a clear indication that he was far from his prime form and coming off of injury. In 2004 and 2008 he ran 27:01 with 53 second final 400m sprints. He had never lost any 10,000m races until Korea and London, the former when he dropped out of the race. Bekele has always left Mo in the dust though, especially in 3000m and 5000m races. See Sheffield 2007. Mo will never be at Bekele's level.
