I've been thinking, thinking and thinking whole the time but couldn't find any words if appreciation for this man flying that plane. I was just stunned. I can only say "bravo" with my jaw dropped down to my belly. 😨😨😨😵😵😵😵😵😵😵

This man flies anything, any size, indoors and outdoors with the same incredible precision and amazing synchronization with the music. A true virtuoso.

@@jotcw81 my guess is either a reversing speed controller, similar to what some acrobatic/racing multi-rotors have, or a variable pitch prop that can have a negative angle of attack like 3D RC helicopters.

Narei Mooncatt Makes sense, the movements do remind me of the 3D rc helicopters with their collective pitch...wasn’t aware this made its way into the fixed wing segment - cool stuff!

@@jotcw81 a propeller that works one way, actually does move air the other way when rotation is reversed. Saved me in turtle mode on my quadcopter more than a few times lol

That was amazing... he had it doing things you would not think possible.... better than the guys with the stunt helicopters.... would love to see the building of it , rc set up and close up of how its flown. but thats another few videos..... here's hoping... David.

So, the propeller does change pitch ? I was wondering how it worked.. kind of suspected, but wasn't sure. Is there a link somewhere to see a close up of how these planes work ? The construction,, where are all the electronics in such a thin plane..wheres the battery etc. Awsome video.. Totally defys the laws of physics.

He literally had 2 extra channels just for theatrics.....he's got 1 chan for throt 1 chan for ael 1 chan for ele 1chan for rud then 1 for reverse thrust then 1 for streamers then another for confetti....I feel like he has his throttle set up like a heli where it's split up is one way and down is another....but this was amazing I want an f3p setup but nowhere to fly indoors around here

It's not the motor so much, but the adjustable pitch/prop assembly that makes the plane dance. The pilot can reverse thrust with the amount of pitch travel on the prop. This would be flown much like a rc helicopter I suspect. Probably running a governed throttle with the throttle stick controlling mainly prop pitch, not throttle in the chosen flight mode.

@@lsx280 two reasons: 1. It would take too long for the motor to spool up and create usable thrust and 2. The torque of the motor changing directions would spoil the attitude of the aircraft. As a side note, a standard airplane prop is also much less efficient running in reverse.

The propeller he uses has adjustable pitch. Enough to completely reverse thrust in flight. It was originally developed, I believe, by a hobbyist taking a tail rotor assembly from a rc helicopter and mounting to the nose of a 3d parkflyer....the rest, is history ;-)
