I might be biased, but I freaking love the german liveries. Only saw a Luftwaffe F4 flying once in 2001. They had a F4 with special bavarian livery flying a full airshow display. Was pretty epic. Unfortunately I had no camera at that time.

I later became a pilot and I haven't found a good simulator and I am awaiting your new simulator. I would really would like for the real tail numbers to be put on the sim aircraft I'm sure there are a lot of other old chiefs that will recognize them. Thanks!

The F-4E and F-100 are both planes my retired USAF LCOL grandfather flew over Vietnam and my father was a Phantom Phixer for the VF-102 Diamondbacks in their F-4J era. I have a lot of love for both of those planes, the Phantom especially. Thank you for your contributions and work keeping these rarer and rarer legends alive - and Jesus, I got a little misty-eyed there at the end.

Looks amazing, and hyper realistic scruffy with chipped paint like thay were in service. Really appreciate the 69th Hammers (tail 175) : - I'm 95% sure the tail boom under the vertical stabilizer was not bright metal, it was painted, mostly in green if I recall, same green as the drogue spring door. I spent quite a lot of time in that area tightening or replacing loose Jo-bolts on the "hot" inboard half of the horizontal stabalizers - The rest looks correct. Well done. Long live Spook.

Cool! I had a similar experience, but with the Tomcat cockpit they have on the USS Midway museum ship. I sat in the back seat and looking around it, was impressed with how familiar it felt to the DCS Tomcat! For this simpit stuff, I have a thread over on the ED forums with all sort or measurements. Finding dimensional drawings of these aircraft is near impossible.

Awesome that you have the real deal and to be involved in the DCS version too. There is a real one sitting as display in a park by my house. It's been there for many years. Great video! I’m glad you are helping. Are you and that Phantom in the DFW area? Heatblur has said before they would eventually be making at least one other version of the Phantom. Have you heard any reaffirmations of that plan recently? Maybe while I checkout and enjoy the F-4E for the next few years, they’ll have an F-4J and maybe F-4D in works, too?? I know it will be few years but it would be nice to keep hearing every now and then that one or two other versions are in the pipeline. 🙂

Ours is the only one as far as we know. There is/was a project on the west coast to restore one (an A model I think), that's around 75% complete.
