Working with Brigid - tools, books and pilgrimages

A personal journey through how I personally work with Brigid. This includes discussion of the Brigid's Cross and Brat Brid, my personal impressions of some books about Brigid, photos and stories of visiting sites sacred to Brigid in Ireland.
Just to reiterate you do not NEED any of these things to work with Brigid! I am not claiming to be an authority. This is just my journey at the moment.

Being born over a threshold was actually likely common. Bracing yourself against a bed, counter, person, wall, or even a doorframe is common. At least in home births. Back then most homes likely only had one door… So it actually makes sense! I’ve been looking for books on Brigid and this video has been so helpful. And thank you for sharing about your pilgrimages. It was so interesting! Also, I bet if you email the nuns they could mail you a CD or give you info on it. 😊

Hello. Thank you for making this video. I am always in search of books about Brighide. I've read two of the books you've shown us. Interestingly enough, my favourite book is a novel by Heather Terrell entitled Brigid of Kildare. It is gripping and actually quite inspiring, set in both 5th century Ireland and modern times. It's a well-written story, the kind of book that sticks with you and you find yourself drawn to reading more than just once. I would recommend it as another window into the past, another 'glimpse' of Brighide. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

This is a lovely video about Brigid. I consider Brigid my matron goddess. I was very young when I came across a handmade Brigid cross when I was visiting Ireland.. I was drawn to this cross but had no knowledge of the goddess Brigid at the time.. I still have that cross hanging above my hearth and now know why I was drawn to take that cross home all those years ago.. I love your candle. Love your photos.. I have the same Brigid statuette also standing near the hearth of the home. I feel Brigid near and helps protect the home. Thanks for sharing Many Blessings.. ❤❤🙏🙏

Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing lovely! I love the idea of Brigid as a warrior too - I definitely get that vibe from her too. And connects her more to The Morrigan too! I would definitely love to read these books - I think I will start with Morgan Daimler's. Wonderful pics too. 🙏

I have this last book by Courtney Webber, it's delightful to read it.And I hope to get other books about Brigid as Goddess, as Saint. I'm sure Brigid is blessing and inspire you and us.

Very enjoyable and informative. I know nothing about goddesses or working with them, but enjoyed your views and experiences. I also appreciate your privacy regarding working with your goddess. People can be so cruel and stubborn sometimes. We don't all have the same experience or point of view, so why should this type of practice be any different. Thanks for this. Loved seeing the Sheela, too!

Thanks so much for making this video 😊🍀 I love the Pagan Portals books, I have & love the Morrighan one & I have one of your other two Brigid books here but haven't read it yet. I took so long to choose which one that I am ashamed to admit I don't remember which one I have 😳but I shall find it when I get off here :) I gave my daughter a Brigid's cross when they moved into a new home, but I don't remember hearing about the Brat Brid, so thank you for that also. Although the Morrighan is the Deity I work with I do love to learn about Brigid & Gaia & others. 🤩🐨
