Thank you. Why at 0:42 the breaker of MFD is pulled ?

Question.... Why pull the MFD breaker? also transponder 7000ALT??
@cessnawings
7 жыл бұрын
The owner of the aircraft wants to pull the MFD circuit breaker to prevent the MFD being damaged by possible Voltage peaks during startup. Transponder 7000 is standard for VFR flights in Germany.
@XPoChangLinX

And the ALT? Is that a German SOP I Know some airports want XPNDER to be on ALT but most will want you to be on GND or STBY
@cessnawings
7 жыл бұрын
It is not a standard operations procedure in Germany. According to the G1000 manual an automatic transponder mode is available that sets your transponder to GND on ground and ALT when you become airborne. But maybe it is for better visibility at bigger airports. See this article: www.flyingmag.com/technique/tip-week/use-correct-transponder-mode

It's not a tower-controlled airfield. It's the pilot's responsibility here, not that of the "radio" operator.
