Wow!!! I’m impressed hearing your job description but I’m exhausted. I’m recently retired so coming from an era of physical labour where you roll up your sleeve and get stuck in. Seeing how far technology has pushed and vastly altered the work experience is daunting but exciting at the same time. By now you are in the thick of your presentation/project so praying all goes well. Can’t forget Cameron…bless him. Loving your upbeat self in spite of. Stumbled on your channel just as you were moving and cheering you on to a brilliant life and many wonderful memories. Well deserved 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I really appreciate if you can make video about how to have career like yours and maybe the tips and tricks for choosing the company.

Omg I love this app!! I’ve been using it for a couple of months now. It’s such a genius way of quickly going through all the non-fiction books and getting to the meat of it! It makes me so happy to see your journey so far, it’s so nice to witness your growth and I know you put a lot into it so you more than deserve all the good things that come your way! I also want to say that it’s good to see a work vlog update! I also work a pretty demanding job (I’m a technical project manager and manage a small specialized team in a pretty big company) the stakes are high but the challenge keeps me in love with my job. I get the vibe that you don’t let any challenge hold you back, especially at work, so I have no doubt you’ve got this presentation in the bag! Best of luck and please let us all know how it went xxxx🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loved your video. It’s hard to believe that I used to commute everyday before Covid. Now my work are lucky if they see me in the office once a month 😂 although I do also have a toddler now. It is refreshing to see someone normal on KZread with an everyday kind of job. Being thrown in at the deep end isn’t fun but whenever I’ve worried about these things it has all worked out. Don’t overthink it and I’m sure you’ll smash it 😊

this video reminded me of my old job in consulting for a UK company (Aon, you probably know of it. they do a lot of HR work). the wordload was insane and only increased as time went on. I also went to the mall during lunch breaks and took the train to work. I left that position to teach piano to kids at a country club and I have the right to say how much I want to work. But I do miss the professional wok environment with adults.

Interesting video. Thank you for sharing and explaining what your work's about, i found that the most interesting bit altho the lunch and the backdrop of the city help contextualize it. But ngl when i clicked i expected what the actual day looked like, not what the parts before and after your day and what grabbing lunch looked like. I guess you can't record when you're meeting with people or maybe your company doesn't allow you to literally screenshare your slides but given that it is a "day in my life" vid i did hope to at least see some hourly breakdown, some of what the actual tasks of the day looked like, etc. Like, are you alone at the office thinking, are you with a teammate, with a boss? What does "thinking about implementing new technology and helping people thru that transition" look like, that tuesday ? is it a meeting with 5 other people exchanging ideas? is it you alone writing powerpoint slides? is it you watching youtube videos of other people's powerpoints to get inspo? is it reading the thing the ppt is about? Not sure if you get what i mean Maybe these are stupid questions but it's mainly bc i wanna know what other consultants do. I worked as a consultant (internship, "jr consultant" lol) but it was remote + in R&D so it was quite different. I was alone much more I think, there were some days where i basically did nothing but browse twitter, there were other times where i was watching youtube videos related to my work, other times when they weren't related, some times where i was writing things, some others where i was reading documentation etc (that was probably most of the work), some days reading thru a codebase, others running some code, some days we had meetings, etc. in my case i couldn't have recorded it bc of confidentiality and NDAs but i did "log" what i did every day at the beginning (then i gave up on it bc i realized it was pointless) but if had made a video about a day of mine then i know what i could've said

@@ellenalicemiller yes its sweet-all my bosses were mean and cruel. At first they were good then they become really selfish. Its the greatest freedom you can have not to be a slave to someone else.Do you also yearn for that?

How do you think about and map out for people and colleagues in that business that are neurodiverse? Personally I am sick of change and change fatigued. I am also fed up with consultants failing to understand my needs as a neurodiverse individual

Holy crap this was a triggering random video KZread served up. I remember being trapped in a job like this. I hope you develop a digital strategy around your skillset and explore building a revenue stream where you can live and work from anywhere. All the best extracting yourself from the 9-7 grind.

@@ellenalicemiller Well perhaps as a transition strategy to build an audience. But you want to quickly convert that audience away from here to your own content platforms. KZread is a hampster wheel of a different kind and not really an effective long term strategy. All the best.

Super interesting vlog. The dilemma was obvs the blister pads vs socks 😂. Interesting to see more of what you do at work. There is nothing more inevitable than change. Do you work in a co-working facility? All the best.
