Word of Baatyr. Throat singing
Danil Dangeev, Alan Samoev, Ezenday Balbin
June 2019, Altai Mountains
"Баатырдыҥ сӧӧзи" (word of Baatyr)
(Live sound)
Lyrics :
Translation:
In this beautiful elegant Altai
On this plain beautiful as a carpet
On the side of a white mountain
On the shores of the white sea
Life is not in vain living
Batyr lived.
Look there - not there
Look here - not here
Looks there - like a bear
Looks here - like a wolf
Not knowing those scary words
There lived Batyr.
Blessed Altai
His arrow hits right
His affairs are quick
His horse is beautiful
His words are eloquent
Listen, listen, listen!
In the end, Batyr said:
In the future
On this plain like a carpet
In this beautiful elegant Altai
Change, change will our life.
(Such) time will come to my Altai,
Our people will go astray
Will drink bitter poisonous water
My people will decrease (in number)
In Altai
People in dismay
They will fight, challenging the law (faith)
Another people will come
Accustom to another law (faith).
Once upon a time in Altai
Young Altai Batyr will come
Our people will wake up
Altai will once again become one
Improve, improve will our life

On this beautiful, elegant Altai On a plain as beautiful as a carpet, On the slopes of the mountains wrapped in white On the coast of the White Sea Life is not lived in vain Batyr is always alive! Look there - not like that, Look here - not anywhere else Look there - like a bear, Does he look there - like a wolf, Not knowing the terrible words Batyr is always alive! Blessed by Altai: His arrow hits right Quick in action, His horse is beautiful His words are appropriate. Listen, listen, listen! Prophetic when Batyr utters the words to everyone: In the future On this plain, like a beautiful carpet, On this beautiful elegant Altai, It will change, our life will change. Those times are coming to my Altai, Our people are going astray Drink bitter poisoned water, When there are fewer of my people in Altai People in confusion They will fight, challenging the law (faith) Other people will come Get used to another law (religion). But once in Altai Come young Altai-Batyr Our people will wake up Altai will become united again, Everything will live better then ours will be alive. Send it on!

Lyrics:In bountiful, beautiful Altai, on this plain, as beautiful as a mat, on the slopes of the white mountains, on the shores of the White Sea, where life isn't lived in vain, lived Baghatur. Look there, not so look here, not like that.1 Look there, bear-like, look here, wolf-like, ignorant of the word "fear", lived Bogatyr. Blessed by Altai, his arrows strike exactly. His horse is magnificent, they ride straight ahead. He is speaking - the orator,2 listen, listen, listen! Finally Baghatur spoke: "Later, later, one day, on this plain, as beautiful as a mat, in bountiful, beautiful Altai, our lives will change. In my Altai a time will come, our people will live through bad times. They will drink bitter, poisonous water, the people will dwindle in number, in Altai, in Altai, in Altai! People, people divided, will fight against customs and traditions. Other people will come, other customs and traditions will be taught, taught, taught, taught. When one day in Altai an Altai youngster hero shall come, our people will awaken. Altai will reunite again, and our lives will flourish."
