I had the privilege of teach and live in Mongolia for a couple of months. From since I was a small kid I wanted to go there and after I read about Genghis Khan. When I arrived and lived there it felt like I was finally home. If it wasn't for my friends and family it would 100% be the place where I would live and die. This song makes me proud of the Mongolian heritage I do not have.

Theres something refined about his voice that really digs deep into the murky waters of history, and extracts the glorious tale of Genghis Khan. This paired with the mountain backdrop and isolation really give a feeling of timelessness and awe at the last 1000 years of history.
