The 2nd Method worked for me on my Windows 10. Windows 11 must have another work-around that needs to be addressed. Thanks anyway! If you have Office 365, the only workaround is to uninstall and then reinstall again, vice-versa. After re-installing, it will be fixed.

After following your instruction, word icon can be shown but word document cannot be opened by displaying" This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with software publisher.

This wont solve the problem but it will open the file but with extra steps. Just right click on your file and select 'open with' then click on word and it will open the file. You just cannot double click it. At least that worked for me.
