He probably made it from a photocopy of the plans put on the net so unlikely to have known who designed it. I'm waiting for a quote to have one made.

@@NSYresearch quite possibly as there are a lot of photos of it and a few slightly modified versions of it going around the net now.. He originally based it off of a few different medieval portable bed styles and refined the designs to this one that's perfect to take to events, I've been intending to make one myself for a while but haven't had the time

I guess you could add a middle area support either side, one that is close fitting that hugs the plank from underneath, but sits over the bendy hinge areas with it's own footing?
