I really enjoy assembling puzzles and playing board games with my family, but we needed a better spot to do it. This puzzle/gaming table is a perfect solution! It allows me to preserve the puzzle I'm working on inside and it has two drawers on either side to hold the unassembled pieces. Removable surface boards keep the puzzle protected from being bumped or having any pieces lost as well! When playing board games, the surface boards can be flipped over and inserted into the mortises on the sides of the table to become gaming trays. These trays offer additional space as well as a convenient way to keep cards, tiles, or game pieces organized! This typical-looking coffee table is a wonderful piece of functional furniture that is sure to provide many hours of enjoyment while improving the overall gaming experience!

I FELT that double crap outtake moment in my soul. Drew, genius build, as are all your projects. I also want to give you major props for being a one man show. You are the star, camera man, cinematographer, editor, etc. I know so much more time is given to these videos than just working on the project itself. Your channel and your work is WAY underappreciated. Thank you for all these great videos, your humor, your ingenuity, and overall entertainment! Happy holidays to you and yours!

Reminds me of a table my son made for his final school project, all the material was reclaimed from outdoor garden sets, an old dining table, some hard wood decking. He laminated the a top offset to 30 degrees, the CNC routered a square out of the centre, the made a backgammon and chess board glued face to face that would fit into the cut away. He designed and build a hidden lever that fit between two sliding draws to lift the centre section, therefore you could have the original laminate pattern, chess or backgammon or and additional piece that had glass designed to hold a photo. I love designs that make the most of the available space.

Not only is this a mighty fine gaming coffee table, but I'll be using some of these tips and tricks. Holding a small piece at the router table in a clamp just makes a lot of sense. Aligning a mark out in the middle by putting it near a piece of blue tape (which I'm assuming you measured from the edge to align, which you cannot easily do with the mark alone) is pretty smart. I'll be using that hole drilling in the end of a dowel trick, even if I have to invent a reason in my next project to use it -- pretty slick! And who knew a supply of all the leather you'll need is only one driveway away! :)

Sat down to draw up a coffee table for the wife, started drawing and went to google for some inspiration, then found your plans on etsy, and they were identical to what i started drawing! So thank you for the awesome detail and plans, saved me a ton of headache!🤣👍

Love the table. This is the first coffee table sized one I have seen. I gotta say the build quality was great. Everything fit together perfectly, and the piston to get the first Leaf out so everything can fit so perfectly is an amazing idea. Drawers are great but I really Love making the leaves function as a gaming tray. That is the first I have seen of that kind. Makes sense with a coffee table sized board. But you didn't stop there, you added additional trays at the base so you can have 2 styles of player trays. I love it. Great design. I wish I could transfer this stuff to the table I am planning. Instead I may just have to build a coffee table after I finish the main table.
