Haha welcome to the crew! I’m going to be making two different types of longbows, wood selected but will be out after my next few videos :)

Love the video. Congratulations on making your house livable, that's Huge. I can't argue with your list of tools, they make sense. I would add safety glasses for chisel work, a basic first aid kit and some method of drilling holes. Best of luck on your journey. You are off to a great start. By the way, I couldn't agree more about the longbow.

50years ago I started collecting my tools by buying my dad ( a carpenter ) new ones for his birthdays and Christmas and getting his old ones in return 😉 grandads are another source of tools 😊

We are going to walk this together option please. I was recently gifted my Mother in Law's great grand fathers Stanley no 4.5. I have lots of gear and no idea, my fear of failure is so that I'm scared to start. I have enjoyed buying rusty tools and refurbishing them for use. Looking forward to following your journey and seeing that long bow

Welcome to the community! Once you do get started I'm sure you'll love it. My advice would be to pick something simple but that you want to build to get you going, and to understand that things won't always go right first (or second, or third) time, but thats ok because each time something goes wrong you can learn from it! The journey is the fun part for sure, best of luck and thanks for following!

I'll tell you what though I do like to see humble youtubers like yourself spreading the love and showing newcomers that they could do it too. There are so many channels that arn't earthy... Keep in touch my friend

The only things I'd add is storage and vacuum.

Great stuff, thanks for posting, as @neilsmith says I think a vice would be useful and some method of sharpening chisels etc, also there are many good second tools out there, good luck on your woodworking journey, stay lucky and keep 'em coming

Excellent point - not much use to a blunt chisel!

great 1st video, 1 thing I would say is good to start with is a vice. I did buy a cheap one from B&Q but it had a lot of movement in it. Then I was able to get a Record vice off Gumtree only paid £30 for it.
