Excellent techniques, speed, great use of different chisels for exactly what tools were made to do. The burning and staining is an EXCELLENT Finnish base gloss poly. Just Excellent!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Huw! I agree the Yellow is my favorite so far!. I am trying to find more of the Longleaf Pine with less sap, because I really like making these and the craft fairs that I was in in December showed me that they will be popular.

That is some good information and very interesting bowls. I never thought about this type of bowl. I will definitely have to try it. Thank you for sharing your video.

Thanks for watching Mark! I wish I could say it was my idea, but I had seen one done and I liked it. I love the raised grain patterns on the outside.

Have you tried the Keda liquid dyes? I’m not having much luck getting a deep color with it.

I have not tried their liquid dyes. The only liquid dyes I have used are Folk Art Ultra Dye (no longer available, which really bums me out) and Transtint Dye. I found when mixing the Transtint with water, what might appear to have plenty of dye could actually be quite weak. I found I was adding more than I expected. Also I have also applied multiple coats in order to get the depth of color that I wanted. Thanks for watching!
