Ойын-сауық
This vase is available a twoodbytoth.bigcartel.com
This Vase is made in cedar, black veneer and ziricote. Its 18 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Every ring on this vase is tapered to 7 degrees which makes you give the vase a second look. This is my 110th vase. I started the series back in 2007 with the hopes of making 100 vases, the series continues....
Thanks for watching

When a Wood by Toth come up in my to-watch list I know I'm in for something special. Not every week, sure, but if it was I'd know something was wrong. These creations take lots of time, time and effort.
Now that’s slick - beautiful work 👌
The amount of time it must take to make the rings alone must be staggering. This is beautiful
There’s the toth we all know and love ❤️ missed the vases and bowls!
Oh man! I saw that vase going down at the end and my heart dropped.
Wow. Gorgeous work.
Absolutely beautiful vase, I love how you held it like a baby after you detached it from the lathe lol. Like, don't worry little vase, I gotcha.
This is so beautiful. I love how 3D the cedar is.
Beautiful work!

Very beautiful and great job making and turning it Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Brilliant 👍👍
Watching the sanding of the vase’s interior (7:44) was a bit terrifying ...
Your vids are ASMR for me. Thanks!!!
The irregular ring thickness is spectacular! In my mind I think I've figured it out (maybe), we'll see...
I wonder if instead of black paper between the blocks if you used a translucent material like clear plastic (or tinted) if a light source was inside the vase, would it illuminate through the segments and look cool?
Show demais Parabéns!
Incredible craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing this!
jesus christ this is beautiful
Kyle what an awesome and breathtakingly stunning vase, just like everything else you make. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Absolutely stunning dude. Love your work.
Seriously gorgeous work. I hope if you sell it you get a worthy price.

That is an awesome vase!!! good job man!!!! 👌🏼🤘
Hey there Toth, amazing work again! But i am just curious to what your finishing process is, you clean with mineral spirits and then apply shellack?
Очень достойная работа! Шедевр. Успехов Мастеру. И здоровья впридачу!
GRACIAS POR EL VÍDEO Y APORTE, EXCELENTE TRABAJO....PARA CUANDO UNA PUBLI DE TODOS TUS TRABAJOS ?....
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Looks great man. Just found your channel! 👌
I was half expecting you to spank the vase to make sure it was breathing correctly! Beautiful work as always, Kyle.
Nice work Kyle. Enjoyed the video. How many days is this over?
👍👍👏👏
ЛЯЯЯПОООТАААА :)
Peça magnífica, parabéns, eu também trabalho com esse material aqui na Bahia Brasil e tenho muita dificuldade em vender
Beautiful vase, hope you were wearing a filter while around all the cedar oil
I noticed a black light shining up from beneath the ways. Are you using a UV cure finish?
👍👍👍.
Wow! That looks amazing. This is my first time watching any of your videos. I like the music. I listen to electronic when making art. I just got a lathe in March. One of my first few bowls was made from cedar. I really like the smell of it. What did you use to finish it? It has a really nice shine.
How did you get such a high gloss finish with only oil? It almost looks like a polished CA finish, I'm super impressed.
I love your pieces ..its so inspiring .. maybe oneday channel with have content like this ...maybe , ha ha .. maybe you could give me a little advise .. what size was that bowl gouge you was using at the begining to rough out the outside ?
Kyle, it's an amazing piece if work and thanks for all the info in your description. What finish did you use?
Very nice. The colours are gorgeous. I love the black streaking in ziricote wood and I’ve always loved cedar. What was the black veneer made of?
Just freaking awesome Kyle! Now that's what I call a beautiful VASE! BTW, what's the angle that you use on all of those pieces that you cut out? Just curious. Glad to see the pooch at the end of the video! :)
Just awesome! Could you explain what mean by the 7 degree taper? Thanks, Stuart

Unless I'm mistaken, if you look at each ring that makes up the vase, you'll see that they're not flat. Each piece has been cut with a 7 degree taper and then stacked, as rings, alternating thicknesses so that on any given side of the vase, you've got a short ring and then a long ring. I never would have thought of doing that, and I definitely don't have the engineering skills to do it.
Great video. But now I have "Somebody That I Used to Know" stuck in my head.
How much does a piece like that go for? Awesome!!!
Good evening Kyle, a question, what puts you in the middle of each piece?
So awesome. Love the black veneer in your turnings. Gives it such a stand out. Where do you source your veneers?
Absolutely love your work! I am curious though, why you don’t use a stop block for repeat cuts when cutting the segments?

He talked about it in a shop tour video or something similar once. I think he just didn't find it necessary compared to the simplicity of putting a line on the fence.

That traps the piece and also sawdust builds up by the stop block. A trapped piece can go flying. Cutting to a line is surprisingly accurate and easy.

Makes sense!
Is that black stuff paper? It was cool when you hollowed out the inside.
Diresta should pay you to wear that shirt!
