Australian Blackwood with copper inlay bowl. Australian Blackwood, also known as Tasmanian Blackwood, is a member of the Acacia family of trees. It is common to South-eastern Australia and Tasmania. I modelled this bowl off some mixing bowls I use to make the family pancakes. Instead of putting the copper in the top of the rim, as I do with the stone inlays I use, I decided to add it to the outer rim. Very happy with the result.
Measuring 17cm in diameter and 10cm tall making it perfect for keys, change and other small items.
