Nice bowl. Instead of using a glue block, you might consider a mortis and expanding the jaws of the chuck on the inside. I do this all the time and it saves a lot of time. You basically finish the bottom first.

Thanks Greg, when I turn big bowls I rather hold them with screws and a waste block, when I make small bowls I use my chuck making a tenon and holding the bowl, I also tried making a mortise and expandnig the jaws and is not my favorite... many people say you put a lot of stress in the bowl if you hold it expanding your jaws and i also think this too.. also i like the bottom of my bowl flat y dont want to see a mortis.. as I said tried all of them... thanks for the comment

I like your work. Before turning, I would have glued a scrap with a sheet on the bottom so that I just separate them at the end with a chisel rather than trimming it flush with a planer.

24 segments per ring, the angle is 5, the size of the segment is different in each ring!!!

What dimensions is the bowl?

Actually the bowl looks like shit. I've just honestly wondered how squeeze out glue is removed from the open segments. I'll try asking someone that won't just give a smartass answer. Sorry I bothered you.
