Fantastic fun piece of work. But WTF! attaching the arms before finishing off the base man that must have made you twitch during the finishing. Great piece, thanks for sharing

I'm a year off here, just came accros your snowman and I think it's over-the-top. You have all the details and the dedicated stand to boot. A remarkable piece and the beech timber appears fun to turn, I've never run accros it so I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Thank you so much for the enjoyable video, it lifts the spirits. Brad

Sweet snowman, always a classy choice, loved how you burned those lines using a hard wood, I use a piece of formica, just because my architect wife have full folders of formica samples she gets from contractor and the kids have maxed out the fun to be had with those... :) good job on the pyrography as well! Good luck man, and a merry Christmas!!

Hi, I used a strip of plastic coated hardboard, the kind of stuff from the back of cheap flatpack cupboards ? But you can use formica, plywood, or even a bunched up paper towel ...

Hi Janice, I use a piece of hardboard with laminate on it, like laminated flooring board ..... but you can use any piece of hard wood that will cause friction.... make sure it has a smooth surface though, to stop damaging the work piece....... Hope this helps, Regards Steve.
