I am almost scared to think what you will be making in 5,10, 20, 40 years. Amazing.

This was good to see. Usually there are is a jig that fits the tool rest allowing the turner to do something similar with a thin parting tool but the bandsaw is a great alternative. Thanks for sharing!! 👍🏾

Wow. It's amazing the way all the rings are lined up perfectly. When I saw it in the thumbnail I thought he'd turned it out of a solid block of wood.

That is absolutely BRILLIANT!! Wondered how those very thin strips would make a several inches tall bowl, but you had thought it all through and worked out every detail and angle, you sir have an amazing brain.

Hi Oliver, I had no idea thin flat wood cold be cut and put together again to make a bowl. What a stunning project. I love your work. It’s so intricate, interesting and so so beautiful. xxxxxx

Ayant travaillé dans la mécanique générale (tourneur - fraiseur - aléseur) je ne peu qu’applaudir. Artiste et haut technicien. La préparation des gammes pour réaliser toutes vos œuvres ne doit pas être toujours facile. BRAVO !

This is my favorite of all of your pieces (that I've seen, of course). Simple, elegant, and useful. I love the colors and the finish. This would be an heirloom piece in my home.

Considering you made it from scrap, it is stunning how efficient your design was in using the material. I guess you made 45 (or 135) degree cuts and then used the lathe to remove a bit more material on the outside bottom and inside top to get a nice slope on the bowl instead of a conical section?

That is awesome! I wonder what it would look like if the slightly of set each ring? I very much enjoy your videos!

I just wonder what it would look like if you turn the rings 1/4 turn at glue up the bowl looks beautiful

The bandsaw table is tilted 45°. The width as to be the same as the thickness of the ring.
