I love how you said " Its been about 3 years since i rebuilt the motor, so i could probably use a refresh. My 2001 400ex was last opened (as far as i know) in 1007 to be rebuilt and it hasn't been touched since but its still running like new. I need to refresh it but I'm admittedly a little scared to doo it and its hard to come across the money for it.

I love the way you ride that 400 bro...i also got a 2005 TRX 400, with a T4 Pro Circuit pipe on it, it goes like lightning!..do a bad ass build on that TRX 400, you built the show on that bike ;-)

Hey got a question. I know you been riding some years so I know you know. But when you jump a hill/ jump how you stop it from landing front wheel first? I just started riding last year but I tried jump a hill landed on front wheels and about flip over handle bars now my nuts are lock up on jumping shit.

Hey brewer! Could you tell me what kind of case / chin mount / microphone you are using on the hero 9/10? I Would like to move away from the Media mod microphone I am using because it is just not the best for audio and overheating. Thanks in advance! Im pretty new to this! Lol. Awesome vid btw. 🤙🏼

I'm using a chin mount off of Amazon that is black and blue and uses straps to secure to the helmet. Not sure of the name haha I run a hero 7 or 8 black upside down on the mount with a purple panda microphone. Note you'll need a gopro microphone adapter with the purple panda adapter. Once you get it DM me on Instagram and I'll explain how to set it up

@@BrewerOffroad okay that sounds like my exact hero 7 setup that I am actually using, I also have a 9 but cannot figure out a good mic setup for it! Completely different unfortunately. Now I just need to figure out how you guys are getting your 7’s to go full screen! Lol when I use mine it has black borders on both sides of my screen even on superview wide angle. I have the same quad but mine it’s a 2005 and it’s yellow. I love it but it make a ticking noise I think I need to put a new timing chain because I put a new tensioner. What do think about that?

Probably needs a new timing chain and the rocker arms adjusted to help quiet it up. It's a common issue! Not difficult to do either!

It IS dangerous riding alone and never recommended lol but I do it a lot too

What's up man. Sweet video as always. My question for you is would a 400ex/x be enough power for a street legal build? I live in West Virginia and they made it possible to make quads and SXS street legal. Do you think the 400ex/x would have enough power for 10-15 miles one way on a 50mph road and not blow up. Same question goes for the YFZ450R and TRX450R. I know they don't like to be held at steady throttle for long periods of time. So what do you think? Would it be a good buy for a few years? I wanna get a Raptor 700r in the future but can't afford one just yet. Thanks for any imput and look forward to the next video.

The 400ex is plenty capable of doing 50 mph for extended amount of time but it would help to gear up the sprockets so it doesn't work so hard

Put a Honda 450r dirt bike engine with the dual exhaust in that trx400 , Frankenstein the shit outa it. That dirt bike engine is nasty as hell in a lightweight 400 chassis. Blow away the yfz450r with that install. You can get dam near 60hp with the right tuner .

what's the gearing on that beast, it looks pretty fast.

@@Z24300hp welp, that's never a good sign. I would not leave my shit there whatsoever lol. I had a full rebuild done on my 450, everything new oem except the cases, and I used a pro x piston. Took them 3 days total. A good shop won't take more than 3 weeks for a big job

It's a 2007 Honda 400ex, the 05 to 07 400ex looks alot like the 04 and 05 450r
