Does the OnSD button determine if dims out it untouched? I am not sure anymore because my clock exactly the same is always on

Nice review. I am thinking of getting this product. Seems handy! I read on an eBay post that the alarm goes off for 1 minute. Can you tell me if you can silence the alarm or if you have to wait the full minute? Is the alarm really loud? Thanks!

Sorry I ve not tested the alarm. The bleeps the clock makes is pretty loud so I would think it would wake most people up.

I wanted to follow up since I bought the alarm clock and the alarm can be shut off by pressing any of the buttons on the back. It is quite a nice little unit. I also plugged in the attached usb cable into a spare phone wall wart so I don't need batteries.

Not really as the power input socket and menu control buttons need to be accessible.

Is there any way to stop the two dots from blinking? It seems really annoying!

How about the night, is not to bright when you sleep? I saw online that some people complain about this clock been to bright at night.

I cant say i ever tried mine at night but yes the led display is quite bright.

Do you have any idea why the lEDs are hidden? I mean do you know what behind the surface is ?

I think its just a thin wood effect printed plastic cover over the LEDs

Sorry I never tested it just on batteries. I guess if you had the display on 24/7 then that may be right. As a back up only my batteries are still working so when I connect the usb the clock has kept time.

You can press "set: to choose dp-2, it will show only clock. I am clock manufacturer from China candy@calculator-clock.com.cn

I saw this on Vipon website for $4.00 and 12.00 currently on Amazon.

What’s the “time format” ? Is it like: 8:21 or 08:21 (with a zero) ?

+dean sledge Yes it will work off any 5 volt USB supply. If you don't want to use a computer how about an old phone charger ?

+fredintheshed1 if you don't have an outlet near where you'd like to put it, can you connect it to a power bank through usb cable? If you can, how much power does it draw ?

+Aziz S Yes a power bank should work. As to the power I would have thought very little draw in stand by mode, milliamps. Only trouble is once you power it via the USB the clock comes on although I think you can turn that off so it needs a tap. The amount of run time you would get depends on the amp / hour rate of your power bank I guess.

I've read somewhere that if you let it on all the time, it would just drain the AA batteries very quickly, so I thought I might get one and connect it to those tiny "pen shaped" power banks with about 2000mAh - 3000mAh because they come cheap. I just don't know how often do I have to recharge the power bank.

+Aziz S Should work. Just be aware of cheap power packs. I was given one of those small power banks as a freebie and it was supposed to be able to charge a cell phone. It looked nice in brushed alloy etc. Anyway it was pretty useless so I took it apart. Inside were 2 very cheap looking china rechargeable AA's. LOL

How do you keep the time to stay on????

+Alex Jepson You can only have the time stay on when you have it connected to a 5 volt usb supply. When its running on battery you have to tap it to show the time and then it switches off again. Hope that ans the question.

Hello mate. Have the dual band SDR working but cant get it to work in HF mode. Receiving well UV same as the dongle. Grrrrr. ;-)
