This vase looks like arms uplifted in prayer! Absolutely love it! Would look great in a pastor’s office! Stay well! Maybe if you get back to The Coast, and the job site, after this virus has laid down, we can meet up. In the mean time, as much as you are able, stay in! My best to you and your family. -Ellen

Nice one, Al :-D! Happy to see that lovely little vase back again, and even happier you could change that one pesky detail that you didn't like. Thanks for sharing this, and do take care of yourself in these strange times.

Hi My USA Friend, After a long wait, I pick up my wood lathe next week. A Chinese made device (what else) which has been a long time coming due to various factors. At least I have gathered all the other items, tools, chucks, masks, chemicals to make Yorkshire Grit, GoJuice (courtesy of the 'Rebel Turner' industrial vacuum, microwave oven, sharpening tools and the list goes on, which costs more than the lathe!!

Thank you my friend for watching and commenting. Good luck on playing with your new lathe regardless of maker. if it spins wood that it will do the job. Sounds like you are well on the road to great turnings. Take care Be safe

A little tweak and keeping those odd size and lengths of jam chucks can make a lot of difference ! A great demonstration on remounting Al. Cheers and take care my friend, Bram

You never have too many jamb chucks right? That is until you start getting low on wood and your jamb chucks become to tempting and you turn them into non usable things LOL

This was a pleasant revisitation of an old friend, thanks for hosting us Al. Glad you were able to take care of something that was bugging you. I wish that tip about being taller was a long term solution; I appear to be getting shorter now in my old age 😁 Stay safe. (pay attention to that cough please?) -Mike

I love that piece. The only way that I can get a smooth finish on fatwood is with a perfectly sharpened blade. Sticky stuff for sure! Glad you feel better about it. It's beautiful.

You have a much better eye than me because I thought it was perfect the first time around lol I always put a mortice in the bottom of my pieces so I can re-mount them if need be or even if I just don't like the finish after a while I can re-mount and sand it back and put a new finish on them 👍👍👍
