wood turning my favorite vase design
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This new wood turning video is a wood turning project that I've been wanting to try for along time. This is one of my favorite designs for a vase. I have one made of glass so I modeled this vase project off of that one. I hope you enjoy/enjoyed the video. As always thank you for watching. I really appreciate it.

Thank you. And thanks for the sub.
Cool, I don’t normally care for the lighter woods as much as the darker woods but this looks great. Nice work.

I made one that's very similar, video not yet finalized but it will be uploaded shortly. One tip for the parting off perhaps: Use a rod or a stick in the drill chuck to catch the workpiece, that way you have both hands free for the parting job.

Thank you. I look forward to seeing it. Thanks for the tip. That's a great idea. I'll give it a try next time. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Thanks for sharing. You've given me lots of ideas......just need to get my backside into gear and get to the shed. Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit soon, here in the New Forest UK 😊 Where are you?

Glad to help Pete! I'm in Washington State. West Coast of the US...if you didn't know that. It's been cold here too. Spring is in the air though and it's starting to warm up. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Nice vase, by the way, what is that hollowing tool you use? Possibly carbide?

Thanks! It's a hook tool. I made it with a steel rod and the cutter is a flat concrete nail.

@@RcWoodturning I just bought a carbide round with negative rake. Need to try it for finishing.

@@user-kf5of8pq9p I bought a tile cutter bit from lowes. It's basically the same as negative rake. It's carbide and it does a pretty good job. I paid around $7.00 for it. Always looking for alternatives.
One of my favorites too. Classic. Reminds me of my grandfather. Taught me to turn long ago. He made candle holders in that shape all the time. Thanks for sharing Rus.
