    Wowwww, man. I got here late today, been jammed up at the job, but I made it. It's funny because the last three videos have been kind of similar projects. It's cool to see them that way and look at the progression that's going on. The first one was a beautiful piece in it's own right, the second one kind of took it a step further, and this one is like the culmination of all the effort. That wood grain almost resembles like tiger's eye stone and the way the resin filled in around the bottom and the rim is really remarkable.

  • @MoonpieCreations

    @MoonpieCreations

    4 жыл бұрын

    As I was hoggin it out I decided to keep the bottom fairly thick because a piece of the wood went across to the other piece. It looked like a ledge in a cave. It's why I called it the frozen cave bowl. Thank you for those kind words. Ken

    Nice Ken. Glad to see it didn’t end up with any air pockets.does that 5 to 1 resin to take longer to cure? I figured that is probably why you used it. Great video. One of these days I will have to try turning a bowl...lol.

    Hey Paul, thanks. The 5:1 takes about the same time the 2:1 does, but cures harder. For slower cure times I always suggest the Thickset. It takes a few days to cure. Ken

    Moonpie Creations I was thinking a knotty pine base, medium green resin, kind of a green you’d see on evergreen needles, but still translucent, and pine cones. Opened cones, larger size, if they can fit in the resin section. Just an idea I’ve had in my mind, but not something I would ever be able to make. Thank you, if you can!
