wood turning - doubled sales by doing this

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

doubled sale's by adding this feature. In this new woodturning video I tried a new feature that went over good with the customers. I used a tree branch from paper birch and wrapped part of it with colored twine. I used thin CA glue because I ran out of medium, but the medium is easier to work with and less messy. This is an easy woodturning project. it takes about 15 minutes to make and they sold for $15.00 each. I also show a little of how to sharpen a bowl gouge.
I hope you enjoy this new wood turning video. Thanks for watching.

Thank you everyone for tuning in! I just wanted to add that you can use different colors with different types of wood. One of my most popular was a dark wood with regular brown twine. I added it in 2 places. On the neck and near the base. Gave it a rustic look. Also use medium CA glue. I ran out and used thin and it was a bit messy. Thank you all for your support!

Fantastic. Really nice. It might be good to have a pack of colored sharpies to touch up any spots on the twine, if needed. As always really nice project. And a nice twist to a vase!!!

@@LBrown518 Thank you! I appreciate that! I know a lot of people start with carbide tools. Traditional tools like the bowl gouge require a way to sharpen it. I use a 1/2 bowl gouge 95% of the time. I prefer traditional tools if you have the means of sharpening.

This wood is most of the way dry. You can use green wood but there's a risk of it cracking.
