Last log = drop holding arm before reversing the push beam. It should fall into the slot for splitting.

It would be nice if the 4 way was hydraulically controlled up and down to keep it near the center of the log diameter

+Clinton Chitwood it would be nice if the bobcat had a enclosed cab with a/c and heat so you could split wood while enjoying the heat or a/c

Would love to have one but its not worth $18000 for a bunch of tube steel and ¼" plate welded together, a couple hydraulic motors and hoses, with a chainsawbar and chain

In 2020 they run around $9,000 for the 120 model and $17000 for the 140 model of Halvorson skid steer processors.

+Ram-n_dodge - Exactly, this is the machine that was originally sent to HAHN to make the 150 when they leased the rights to the Patent. The HWP-140 was created by the owner of the Patent, Halverson Wood Products, HAHN leases the rights to produce the HAHN-150 and HAHN-160 using the patent. The HWP-140 was designed to be more cost effective and easier for the home owner to purchase. HAHN has great machines and so does Halverson Wood Products. Thank you for your input.

@@nephilly87 Yes it can. Operator error. Just drop the log clamp and retract the table the last piece will fall in for splitting.

I want. But since I’m only 52 I still enjoy the exercise of cutting and splitting.

Tough guy, im 23 and thinking about building a splitter. On the other hand its a investment i will hopefully use ~50 Years!

@@clypeum5063 American It’s a tow behind upright and vertical. I live in Illinois so most of my trees are oak, hickory and Black Walnut. Definitely goes through some big nots. I have enough dead trees for a life time on my 35 acres. My house is all electric so I burn a lot of wood for heat and have 72 solar panels.
