Can the CNC cut out the edge pieces now or do we have to do that ourselves?

It wouldn’t be practical for a cnc machine to cut the angles on the outer pieces. You’ll have to use a 12” compound mitre saw and a jig to hit the angles. What’s a good and cheap cnc machine to buy for marquee letters?

We rent out 3ft like crazy and 5ft numbers. 4ft isn’t as requested in my area

Can you give a link for the lighting stuff? Is this basically the same thing as Christmas light sets? Could you cut up Christmas lights and just put ends on them and change bulbs?

Hey, my business partner @trbvlogs had our machine custom built so there is no brand name. If you don’t already own a machine it can be a heavy investment for just one alphabet. My recommendation is to contract the work out to a cnc business to make the cuts for you.

When u bring plans to a CNC business, do u bring the wood for them too? Prolly a dumb question but I’m seriously asking 😅

It’s different at every business. The one I went to before we started running our own CNC had both options.

Besides the CNC outsourcing cost, how much do you think it would cost for one letter in materials only?

The less letters you do the more expensive. On average you get 4 letters to a 4ftx8ft 1/2in thick sheet of pine plywood. This is for the 3ft letters. I never like to say prices because the prices very from time to time / region to region.

The letters are slightly different in width to stay consistent with our font.

We only sell the blueprints. You can take the plans to a cnc business and get them made.

You charge what’s good for you. I rent for $25-$30 per letter and delivery is extra, setup is extra.
