Wondering around my local car breaker/scrapyard, Harry Buckland, to see what stuff I can find...

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Like you've bought a rubbish version of ‪@SteveMagnante‬ from Wish.com, this video is a bit different to my usual ones, as it's just me wondering around the local scrapyard!
I went there for a part for the 1.8T swapped MR-S, which I got for £5, and then I thought stuff it, let's show you around the old wrecks that's there.
Uncut, unplanned, one bit missing as the file got corrupted, but hey, here we are.

I have fond memories of removing an n/a B230 exhaust manifold and downpipe from a 740 at Harry Bucklands, using a Dremel with a cut off wheel and a tiny set of spanners 😭😂.

I'm amazed that Harry Bucklands is still going and still just like it used to be! I'd of imagined the health and safety lot would have closed it down by now, thankfully not!

Will be doing the same on the first day of my vacations next month. It's always a good way to do cheap maintenance/modifications.

That Lancia looks like a Dedra estate, mega rare not made in rhd. Same platform as loads of Fiat and Alfas so easy to make a bit of a sleeper out of it.

This was awesome. Like an automotive Time Team but with just Phil Harding 😂 Never knew the A-classes had their engine mounted flat like that. I think that was a mk2, so maybe that was done as a result of that infamous elk test failure? 🤔 Nice to see a T5 lump just chilling too. Word of advice, try to cut out the bits where you’re walking around with the camera, keep shots fairly stable, because it can get a bit nauseating after a while

Good fucking wrecker. Being able to just walk around is getting rarer and rarer. Anyway, how shit of an idea would be a V6 Jag as shitty drift beater or whatever? You can get spares for them easily etc., but just how shit are they to keep alive?

I’ve heard V6 manual Jag S types are bloody good cars for what they are, drift decent and take a beating. I’ve considered em lots of times. And yeah, mega rare these days to find a scrapper where you can wonder round and get the bits off yourself, it’s been a life saver many times

@@StavTech too much shit to do one right now, but it would be decent, if it wouldn't die for some obscure reason.

Off to a good start with a M111 even if it's a 1.8 😆, after your done using that secondary waterpump as a water pump re-purpose it as a charge cooler pump 😉 Edit: also yes those A classes are ..... To work on 🤣

Funnily enough, in the bit of this video that I lost as the file messed up, there was a SLK 230 Kompressor there. Someone had already taken the supercharger but the rest was there

@@StavTech The superchargers are always the first thing to go, those M62s are so sought after unlike that M45 they did on the M111 Evo. The M111 is a understated engine but that stock headgasket I've found just Yates life if you give them more boost 🤣. But that SMX I love them man 2.0 auto column shift day van the back seats literally fold into a bed so cool👍. I genuinely enjoyed watching this it's been so long since I've had the simple pleasure of walking round a car breakers awesome you have one local that lets you walk round 👍
