Look up the story being this car, this was Ferdinand piech's pet project. This is Porsches idea of the perfect city car and the engineering in it is second to none.

I bought one for my daughter 18 months ago. She's off studying abroad, so I've been using it. There's no way she's getting it back! Great car, amazing space, economy and quality. Not a driver's car, but just a really effective tool. Be great to see what you and Thomas can do with one.

Congrats on the car! Those are really sweet. One thing, I work at Audi: Almost EVERY A2 specific part (exterior/interior bits, you name it) are abandonned and impossible to get sadly. 2 locals were sent to the junkyard : one for light front crash and the other for broken mirror, glass and door. Keep this in mind, you can only rely on second hand. (PS : Really laughed at the mention of a 1.8T in this)

Always loved the A2, absolutely peak Audi like the original A8... all Aluminium and shit load lighter than anything similar, proper over engineering and nice touches too... glad you're chuffed, good job bagging a 90hp one too!! Give me a shout if you do eventually want to shift it, starting to really need sensible yet fun daily... People want way too much for Aygo/107/C1 still and the A2 is ten times the car 👌👍

These should have haddin storage compartments if you lift the carpet in the rear footwell, we half turn plastic finger screws hold the lid on, pro ideal for smuggling 😂😂.. I worked for Audi when these were new, all the staff hated on them but they were loved by the trainers at the VW National learning centre, well ahead of there time for design, constuction and tech, like a mini A8 really. Fun fact, there so light and tall with that single wiper on full speed you can feel it rocking the whole car, passing lorries etc on motorways you really feel the air pressure change 😂.. to this day them little cars are difficult to rival for what it is..

Same! And that’s only the half of it. They’re fucking mental good cars, was shocked when the customer first turned up in one and I got to see it properly.

Bought my 05 a2 1.4 tdi sport a month ago now. Shes done 258k miles and runs like a dream. Incredible cars, easily the best budget small car available. You're not missing the washer cap, they dont have one. Crouch down and see how snug it fits when it rotates back in. Id love some super lightweight 15"wheels to run slightly chunkier tires on mine, not sure what audi wheels might be suitable 🤔

Always liked the A2. Proper Engineering, with a goal. You bought it from a very interesting man. What a collection he had. But price when new sort of killed them; along with people complaining about the looks which is a super dumb reason. A neighbor had one in Dark Green and, as usual, him and the wife destroyed it by not doing any maintenance at all. No oil change, No filters, no brake pads, warped/consumed rotors, not even changing the tires. 🤮

wtf the bonnet comes off! never knew that,cool little thing tho, 2015 I was looking at these for a low budget stripped out trackday drag car couldnt find one at the time for less than 2 bags of sand even damaged they held their money and parts to fix a bashed one wern't cheap either 2015, good find mate

Nice to see a 1.4 tdi 😆 the good about theses engines is that you can “put (modified) almost everything of Pd 130” Mine is a 1.4 tdi 6L 55kw / 75cv 🤏🏽 🤣🤣🤣🤣 240xxx km zero problems just need to do the maintenance like everthing else

Yeah, lots of money new. About 1/3 more than the equivalent other cars of that size/engine when new. Not surprising when you see them, but very surprising they decided to even make them
