For real. Only 3-4 years ago watching a girls contest was only so-so for entertainment. Back then the tricks were as basic as could be. At that time girls rarely flipped their boards, Ollie’s & 180’s were the only tricks done on gaps & the grinds/slides were boardslides & 50-50’s. Jump ahead to now & it’s a night and day difference. U can actually get excited while watching. Chloe’s 50-50 kickflip out is something I couldn’t even picture being done by some of the guys. At least not quickly anyway

Hardflip was the obvious winner, far ahead of the others. Tbh it looked like she had it at the beginning, but I was worried she wouldn't actually be able to clear the set with it... Good to see I was proven wrong. Great trick

I don’t think it was « far ahead of the others », hardflip is like an upgraded kickflip, you stay in line and it’s not difficult to catch

@@patalo299 Do you skate? Hardflip is significantly beyond a kickflip. Most people are learning heelflips, tre flips, fs and bs flips, double flips, the list goes on... but a whole lot of tricks in between kickflips and hardflips. It is also notoriously difficult to catch because of the rocket motion they tend to make. I seriously cannot tell if you are trolling lol there is a reason it is called a *hard*flip

@@rinking88 Harflip is one of the least difficult tricks for many skaters, especially on that kind of spot, same for treflip. For some reasons some people can’t hardflip but Nishiya is the only one to be able to salad grind the rail and she’s not even in the top 3, and that’s fair. Pop shove it down those stairs would be mad difficult even if that’s the first trick we learn on flatground

Yeah it's different for different people, I can do switch hard flips with my eyes closed, that's why all the pros do different tricks, because the tricks they chose are obviously more comfortable.. theres no standard difficulty really.. ..

It’s crazy how far girls skating has come over the last 3 years or so. Back then it was impossible to get hyped watching a girls contest, it was nothing but basic tricks. Now is a totally different story. I look forward to watching the girls contests

yea it’s new it’s supposed to pick a set that has an equal level of difficulty regardless of what you specialize in bc some may be better in air ing out or grind so a set is middle ground for women’s skateboarding

The run way is to short for this trick on the doble set

The hard flip was the best trick. In general though, The woman's skating is just not quite there yet, think it needs about 5 or 10 years before you really see best tricks the progression of the sport it hasn't had as long as the men's.

I mean, look how young and small many of these ladies are. And still doing all of this. I was never as on top of watching the women’s events like I do the men’s but the last 3-5 years I’ve been tuning in and it’s truly impressive how far they’ve come already, especially street and park. That vert event was awesome this year but it was blatantly obvious most of them didn’t have the strength to fully utilize the huge ramp. I think that women’s event will have a rapid growth next, and all will continue to progress FAST. Agree with the announcers, it’s huge even having this women’s best trick. Watch them grow 💪

I did always watch women at winter X and was always a bit disappointed so once I saw their skating it blew my mind. Where brute power doesn’t always matter as much. Keep pushing it ladies! Much respect

Too bad they dont even respect the og skaters let alone know them... its sad when all these younger skaters know nothing of what skating really is and they just do it because its popular now. So lame.

I love that a woman is correctly calling it a 180 nosegrind instead of a 180 switch 50, where most men in the past have failed.
