Of all the prisons presented, Luzira Women's Prison looks clean, there are beds and all so neat, the prisoners' uniforms are very clean, there is enough space around unlike the Kenyan and Madagascar prisons.

Yes, usually those young babies who are still breastfeeding and there is no father in the picture, they go with the mother in prison until the baby at least starts eating.

@@adsalahakoon5136 Naw, ALL prisons should be a hell hole, that’s the point, a deterrent from crime or repeating crime. Criminals need to be treated like criminals, they give up “ humanitarian “ treatment when they treat others wrong. Some crimes could be punished with bring back the stocks for public humiliation etc. Make them work on infrastructure and cleaning up the environment. Lounging around with tv and AC isn’t much of a deterrent.

Your donations will probably end in their pockets. In fact many of these women are happy to be in prison. They get free food, free accomodation, Free health care they'll never be able to afford if they got out.

Madagascar, Egyptian and Sudanese..... visibly lacks essentials. But other clips have been sensationalised. The luziri one looks well attended. I know the kenyan one, and the clip was from a local television documentary which had nothing to do with congestion or ill treatment.

No matter what those women did, they don't deserve to be treated like this. We sit in our living rooms comfortably enjoying descent meals in air conditioned houses but cannot reflect on what others are going through. What will happen if by some accident the tables are turned and someone find himself in those people's shoes? People commit wrong but it's not entirely their fault, so we must look at the root cause and eliminate it. This a disgrace to Africa and humanity.
