    This is what happens when you are not aggressively fighting your opponent. You scorre no points trying to block jabs all night without an offense of your own. Was Savage scared of Hart or did she just take a fight she had no business taking?

  • @steffanofumo

    @steffanofumo

    Savage was definitely scared, she was much more aggressive in their first fight and payed for it with a beating, she tried being more conservative but like you said you don’t win fight by blocking jabs, and she doesn’t have the counter punching skills or power to fight so defensively.

    I respect Jenny. Her first bout she was thrown around like a rag doll. Even tho brit won she looked peeved. It should have been an easy win but Jenny had an amazing coach, she approached this fight differently knowing she has a disadvantage. Keeping distance, waiting to unload. Clinching to avoid barage of hits (if no active punching they have to let go, brit usually clinches and throws a mass of fury). Watching Brit's cross punch and coming in with a counter. Jenny looked very proud she redeemed herself. Next time she just needs to take all of that and learn to move around and throw more combos.

    so here is a BIG thing to remember in fighting sports. If you have lost the first 3 rounds in a 5 round fight YOU CAN ONLY win in the 4th round. (Almost). The 5th round they will just run away and run away and if they lose ONE point for running and lose ONE round....they will STILL WIN. In fact, if you lost the first 2 rounds, you probably should just go for broke in the 3rd round. If they win the 3rd round, YOU LOSE

    This fight got so panned by the comments section; but, this was an excellent fight. I think it's important to remember that these two fighters are both women. If a female fighter just dives in there every single time, she will get beat up so badly that, eventually, she'll look like an ogre. These fighters do not look like ogres, and the reason why shows in their respective techniques. Savage's slips were no joke. If she had just been able to slip one punch and step in, the fight might have been over instantly. On the other hand, despite her huge range advantage, Hart respected her opponent's agility, and tried her best to set up every single shot to be devastating without putting her own self at risk... And mostly succeeded, in that regard. This is why "nothing" happens for most of the fight, but the moments where real contact does occur are excellent. It would take the average fighter many more hits to beat somebody up that badly. Well done, ladies.

    That standing 8 count crap sucks. It keeps you from getting an easy finish and saves your opponent after you work hard and take punishment to get your opponent hurt. I would be angry if the ref saved my opponent everytime i was about to finish my opponent. I think refs should only step in for fouls -eyepokes-and serious damage. Stepping in and breaking up the fight everytime someone gets rocked is lame as hell.Rocking your opponent is part of your mission to k.o somebody! That shouldnt be a reason to stop the fight or interfere! Thats just a part of boxing. Stunning your opponent. DUH! Its like they are trying to keep fighters from getting knocked out when that is the whole purpose of the contest!
