Congrats to the two New Zealanders, one and two. Our country of 5 million are so proud of your achievements! I hope Maia gets to join our Olympic team. Having 1500m runners is a great legacy that continues for the black singlet! Would be great to have both a male and female in Paris in this event.

As a Kiwi great to see these two succeed. I would like to have seen a better tactical race from the rest of the group though after seeing Flockhart run 2:05 in semi's. Got to wonder how they let that one go. Were they just not ready for Ramsden's move?

This is why we need women’s and men’s sports. The winner of the girls race would’ve been dead last in the men’s race.

Wow I am far more amazed at the women athletes than the men these,days
