These KZread documentarians seem to be slightly less that overtly bias about U.S. LEAs, the prison system and white Americans if you can stomach their other content here. There's a certain style that they all have in common that seems to slant in favor of criminals and paint the United States as something that it isn't if you live in it. As a foreign "news organization", they are taking the stereotypical approach and painting the U.S. with broad strokes.

Which is exactly why you're tried by a jury of strangers and not family members. Because justice should be free of emotion. Otherwise it's just vigilantism with a high likelihood of harming the innocent. So what I'm saying is the family and friends of the victim shouldn't decide someone's guilt or punishment.

Very well researched and presented. How can we stop this from happening? 😢😢 I live in Canada and the system here is broken too. At least the death penalty no longer stands but how many lives were taken that shouldn't be. Look at Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka, he gets life in prison and she got to be a teacher's aid but they both did the crime. I wonder if this comes down to money too. Sympathy and condolences to the families who had loved ones murdered.

The lady with the 13 children, I feel so sorry for those poor children having not only their little sister die but having their mother taken too prison cause the police think she murdered their sibling and on top of all of that what do children's social services do, why they only traumatized the sibling's more by splitting them apart and sending them to different care and foster homes, bloody hell hadn't those poor children been through enough by the time the divvy police decided to arrest the mum, couldn't the social workers actually help the rest of the family to be able to take all the children in so the children were not only all together but also with family that knew them all and could help them deal with the grief of not only losing their sister but also their mum It's really awful how the whole system is run, from the law makers to the judges, the police and social services even the medical field and education as well We need a better way, so innocent people don't get lost in the systems

Surely a doctor's visit was in order? That does not make a good mom IMO. Not worthy of a death sentence, but not right at all. Then I wondered why the (Large family we see) didn't take the kids in rather than foster care? Just wondering....

I recall her sister saying how she wished her incarcerated sister "HAD BEEN MORE FIRM WITH THE KIDS" The kids due to mother's lack of discipline had become pains in the neck.
