I have worked in the M-dominated financial industry and MOST W were welcomed with open-arms. Some were even prioritized simply because they were W. On one of my teams, a new W was intentionally hired to be on one of the teams... for diversity. M were told privately that they needed "to change" their behavior because now the "dynamics have changed." But now, I work at a University, dominated by W, and it's the EXACT opposite. If anything, the W actively try to make things MUCH more difficult than necessary for each of the M. No sense of conversational cadence, privacy, teamwork, planning, or preparation. I have never felt such frustration to complete incredibly simple projects... but I have to ignore the obvious.

My father is a retired level 2 supervisor for Transit in NYC. The few women who worked under him weren’t even doing what the men would do. He knew this women were just trying to feed their families etc. so he would just pass them on the exam and they would end up holding flags or something. Just by the numbers you can see who’s really doing this type of work. Necessary work BTW.

But most do the bare minimum to not get fired, while using a female card for pity, hilarious with a female boss or owner... she has zero sympathy for these women and fire them like nothing. Often hiring more men.

Why did we let women become so rude. Back then women knew there were consequences for acting inadequetly, so they were respectful. But women these days are untouchable even if they hit you, you can't hit back. Imagine in older times a women/person hitting someone way stronger than them, that's just foolish. Women these days talk so tough and so loud and talk over men all the time, very unladylike behaviour.

None of them were in the same trade. SORRY FOR THE EDIT THIS IS LONG! 1 Pipe fitter 1 Drywall taper 1 Electrician 1 Lift operator All of them were respected and looked out for by their coworkers and by other trades people. All of these women worked hard and were comparable in skill and productivity. I'm 5'8 160lb My coworker is 6'6 195lb I am 25% more productive (square ft/hour) than him. The argument of physical size is irrelevant. I just wanted to stand out. I am a company man. He is here to pay for his own side hustle he is turning into a fence business. They still don’t get that men and women get paid the same rate. It’s just that men work more so their paycheck is higher. That’s the only pay gap. It’s the same as the female soccer team wanting the same take home pay as their male counterparts, but they also wanted all the medical benefits as extra. So it comes out to them getting paid more than the men and doing less.

If you on a construction site expecting acceptance or encouragement then you are at the wrong workplace. When men get hired to do these jobs they coming having to prove their worth not expecting someone to see their worth . Ask these women if they would rather live on the top floor of an apartment built by s crew of women or a crew of men. I promise you if you were a construction site manager and you told two women to carry 300 pounds of wood up a flight of stairs they would have an issue with that.
