what about other types of dance?

@@joedelici8061 maybe a) not as athletic and/or b) tending to be able to be included in other forms of competition? If i think about flamenco I don't feel it fits with the Olympics but breakdancing often has highly athletic elements like windmills and it just doesn't really tend to fit in with other forms of dancing. Still skateboarding and breakdancing are somewhat associated with hiphop culture and it's interesting to see them get included in the mainstream but when you think about it, these are pretty old now, like people who were originally into them are becoming the older generation so it's interesting. Skateboarding is also pretty athletic. If dancing had a very athletic element, like the cyr wheel, then it might qualify for consideration. i know all dancing is athletic but i mean something beyond what most forms of dance would include - more like bouncing around and turning upside down and balancing on one hand and so forth it's kinda an interesting question tho bc when you think about it, for example there is cycling but you don't get BMX events. Or... circus type stuff per se in gymnastics. Some of it is probably just tradition? Yes if they break tradition in one area, they could in another. But should they? I'll leave that open as a rhetorical question cos i don't really claim to know

I was one of the dislikes, and the only reason is because Ami was only featured for a fraction of this video, when I thought the whole point was to show off her win, based on the title.

Is it really necessary to separate dancing? I mean . . . yeah, I don't know. Women are more flexible than men, so they might even have an advantage there. Why separate it?

I mean women should be able to compete with men in other sports too. NFL, NBA, FIFA, etc.....oh wait, no the reality is that men and women are NOT equal no matter your feelings. Men will always be physically stronger than females and that’s why we have male sports and female sports, otherwise women wouldn’t have a chance or opportunity to compete on a somewhat fair basis

Yooneek696969 Dancing is something that both females and males can compete in, regardless if men (on average) are physically stronger than(the average) woman or not.

@@Yooneek696969 honestly I think men and women should be able to compete in the same sports and on the same team's. I mean if she can do it why not let her? It should be separated by ability, not gender. And even if that means there might be more men on a team then women, at least we're given equal opportunity. instead of automatically being written off as " too weak" or "not good enough" just because we're women. But that's just my thoughts on the subject.
