just because a boy likes "girly" things does not make him want to be a girl... what she SHOULD be doing is teaching them that liking dresses and nail polish and things is perfectly normal if you're a boy instead of assigning certain things to one gender. the fact that she saw that he liked "girly" things and instantly thought they wanted to be a girl is weird to me.

@@jeffk3746 Children cannot consent. After 18 it's fair game, but before then, let kids be kids. Let the kid wear dresses, nail polish, etc., but you don't have to tell them what they are based on stereotypes, especially when 94% of children suffering from gender dysphoria will outgrow it. So in summation, convincing a child to chemically castrate themselves (because that's how this will end up- puberty blockers if the kid stays with it) because you get some sense of satisfaction out of it is wrong. Kids aren't stupid, but their brains literally aren't developed enough to understand risk and long-term consequences, nor are they close to having an adult's sense of identity. There is a reason children cannot consent to s*x. You can explain it to them down to the very last detail and still they will not be able to consent until they are older, because they aren't developed enough to understand the physical and mental consequences. Same here. Kids cannot consent.

That little boy is doing nothing more than REPEATING what his "mother" has said to him. When the child referred to his grandmother as "your mother" while speaking to his mother, CLEARLY, that was from negativity spewed about the grandmother in his presence by his own mom. The fact that her parents had temporary custody of this boy because she was incapable, I have this strange feeling she's trying to change that little boy, including his entire gender & identity, leaving her no reminder or memory of what her SON was when he was left with her mother & uncle before regaining custody.

Any kid having dreams of having different body parts is just dreaming about what learned to want whilst he was awake. Your problem is you think with your genitals. There's no brain in them. Stop living your life for your genitals. Marriage is for companionship and family mostly. Jesus said it's better to not even get married. You're here to be tested, and probably to learn, and if you fail, bad things happen to you, says Jesus. God said he manifests himself to those who keep his commandments. There's a difference between letting your child embrace what they truly feel compared to grooming and this is grooming. He didn't initially want to be a girl the first onset was triggered by his mother and now there's no turning back. He has his whole life ahead of him to follow out and learn and experience it for himself and later on in life he might feel a different way and have sexual frustrations.

that isn’t the case here, you can’t teach someone to have gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria has components beyond liking girly things - genital dysphoria for example, you cant teach a child to have dreams of having the opposite kind of genitalia. You also can’t change a child’s subconscious mannerisms & play habits. These are things counsellors look for in diagnosing gender dysphoria. In other words if you were to try to teach a child to be the opposite gender, the child would never get a GD diagnosis & won’t be able to transition

I read a book (fiction) that had a story where the young boy was told by his mom and dressed up by his mom as a girl. This was way back in the day where midwives were more common practice and men weren’t in the room for labor. I think it was like the 40s or something. Anyway, the kid was made to believe he was a girl until he was 8. The cat was out of the bag when he told his blind brother that girls have ya know too. Then it was revealed what the mother did. I talked to some older folk about this story because I was just flabbergasted by it and they were like “oh no, things like this did happen”. I think James/Bella should see a professional and only then should go forward if this is truly who he/she is. That would end that.
