Mary was overjoyed when her father handed her a big brooch as her “something blue” on the day of her wedding. The jewel had been in her family for generations, and she was glad to finally be part of such a special tradition. However, she realized that no one in the family knew much about what they called “a big blue blob”. She reached out to several jewelers, but was repeatedly told that her family heirloom was fake and worthless, no more than a piece of junk. But when an actual expert had the chance to examine it, he told her how much it was really worth it. When she discovered the price, she was stunned!
