@@ltme4134 exactally!! Mine calls me over every time he wants to use the litter. And sometimes would tell me which litter has to be changed. Also , he also protects me and sits outside while Im in the washroom 😂

They really are cheeky asf, some squirrel threw a berry at me and made some weird "laughing" sound.

I have a special place in my heart for squirrels. They are playful & curious & are devoted parents. Feeding nuts to the squirrels in the park is a highlight in my life during these trying times. This wonderful lady, Winston & Artemis made my day.

Ignore that comments, it's none of their business... your comment is kind and sweet. I love squirrels as well, I feed them while I'm at work. I convinced mt co workers to stop feeding junk food because they're fur was looking unhealthy. I buy them fruits, nuts and spinach now, they love it so much and they look so much healthier... I'm so happy we started feeding them the proper foods!! Thanks for your kind comment.❤❤❤

I’ve just moved into a property here in the U.K. where I have 2 grey squirrels entertaining me from morning to evening, running back & fourth along my long garden fence to next doors garden to steal their bird seed / nuts, back again > repeat throughout the day, & then chase each other up & down the large tree to the left that reaches into my garden (I have no neighbours to the left of me!) - I honestly have never been more entertained by two cute little squirrels, they make me laugh every day. I’ve just purchased a bird & squirrel feeder, I’m just waiting on food delivery for them! They’re the cutest little tykes, & yes, I can quite imagine that they’re little monkeys 😉😆 Thank you for sharing Winston with us, he’s a real sweetheart! Xx

Lovely story. Are grey squirrels indigenous to the UK ? I think I heard that they somehow got to the UK from America. Same with racoons. UH oH. I love the UK and hope you all are well.

I love stories like this. I am a volunteer who helps a local wildlife rehabilitator with her animals and it is the best thing I have ever done. I currently have two rescue pigeons who were injured and can not be released back to the wild.

Thank you for having such a big, loving heart. We rescued a baby squirrel and he was a wonderful pet.

Squirrels are so underestimated and underappreciated! They are intelligent and loving! I rescued a baby male squirrel that I set free at about 6 months old. He still visits after about 2 years and comes back for pets and lots of treats and has even brought other young squirrels with him for years, nudging them closer to us. What a joy! ❤️ He also peels his almonds and would sorts his stash of nuts in to piles under his bedding, his favorites (pecans) he slept right on top of!😂

My wife and I rescue Eastern gray squirrels. We have successfully released dozens now over the last few years. Many are still in the trees surrounding the house and come down to see us daily. Watching your video brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you for what you did.

One of her legs currently does not produce the power to help her jump. Hoping she will get stronger so she can live free. If not she will be be like your Winston and have a forever home.

I’ve had several squirrels that I rehabbed over the years. Awesome critters. I always released slowly in my back yard. They stayed around about a month then off they went. I’m retired now and would love to have another one TO KEEp as a pet. Your video is adorable.

Our little squirrelly boy was great until he became mature. All of a sudden he started marking my daughter and I as his! Especially in the presence of adult male (humans)!!! He would run from one hand, across our shoulder and to the other hand peeing all the way! That's love for you! Squirrel style.

We raised two baby squirrels that had been ejected from their nests. They were very cute, but eventually they found mates and returned to the wild.

The squirl and rabbit play wrestling was adorable.

Aww, he is adorable 🤎🐿 I rescued one years ago and I went through the same thing of trying to release him, but that didn't work either, every time I put him out side he'd stay in the tree in my yard only to have him run to me every time I left my house. So I tried a tree further away with no luck, he'd return to me or at times I'd see him go to people that would try to hurt . Basically he became to domesticated. He lived about 14 year's... I miss him🤎.. and mine was liter trained too. I'd do it again if I had too.. Everyone should try to release them if they can be released? They do belong outside.🤎🐿

Good for you for helping this lil' guy. Personally I don't mind being called snowflake for caring about a living being. I've rescued many different kinds of wild animals, or helped them out of a bad situation. He is a doll baby - with spunk ! I am used to the southeastern squirrels who make nests in trees, and can be come cuddly, just better wild. Glad it worked out well for you and the little guys !! Be well !
